Similitude Line-by-Line

T'POL: May I come in? I just wanted to say how much your absence will affect the crew. How much it will affect me.

SIM: I appreciate that. All in all, I guess I've had a pretty good life.
(T'Pol kisses him.)
SIM: I couldn't have asked for a better going away present.

[So sad and sweet! Excuse me while I go cry my eyes out :wah:]

Sim: I'm serious. You see, I don't just remember Trip's childhood, I remember mine. You made a damn good father.

SIM: You said to me once that commanding a starship was what you meant to do. I guess this is what I was meant to do. Good luck, Captain.

(Sim goes into Tucker's cubicle.)
SIM: You owe me one.
(Sim returns to lie on the biobed. Phlox injects him and his eyes close.)

[Armoury]

ARCHER: We will never forget what he did for us, and for the ship he loved so much. We will go forward with renewed determination to complete this mission, so that his sacrifice won't just have been for the people on this ship, but for all the citizens of Earth.
(During the speech, the camera continues its pan around from the torpedo casing to Malcolm, Hoshi and Tucker. Malcolm and Travis put the lid on the casket and torpedo case 2744506 is shot out into space.)

The End.

..definitive one of the best Trek episodes for me.. :adore: :weep: :adore:

I just wanted to say how much your absence will affect the crew. How much it will affect me.

Remember the scene from "Bound", how T'Pol makes it hard on herself to tell Trip about her feelings:

T'POL: You're returning to Columbia?
TUCKER: I imagine Captain Hernandez is getting pretty antsy to have her Chief Engineer back.
T'POL: There are still numerous repairs to be carried out here.
TUCKER: I think Kelby can handle them. He'd been observing my work pretty carefully, when he wasn't trying to blow up the ship.
T'POL: Kelby is a fine engineer, but he lacks experience.
TUCKER: Why don't you just say it?
T'POL: Say what?
TUCKER: That you want me to come back.
T'POL: I believe I did. I think your presence here would be extremely beneficial to our operations.
TUCKER: No. That you want me back.
T'POL: I don't know what you mean.
TUCKER: My mistake. See you around.
T'POL: Wait, Trip. I want you to come back.

Conclude: Similitude is an extremely strong episode, Sim is someone very special. :luvlove:

:wah::wah::wah:
I love this episode so much. (My SNW story is based on it.) Wonderful performances by everyone, and a touching way to move the T/T storyline forward. I LOVE Manny Coto for writing this. And as sekundant has already pointed out, beautiful Emmy-winning music by Velton Ray Bunch (who scored QL).

Thank you everyone for sharing one of my absolute faves with me! *wiping away tears*

Since it's been 48 hours, we'll rerun randomizer.
The winner is... Sekundant.

Huhh, life is not fair. As an ENT fan normally I would choose my next favorite ENT episode, but it wouldn't be very kind since we are not at ENT fan club. I don't want to bore you guys.
So, the options are:
-I choose next time and randomizer decides for the next lucky one for this round.
-We make compromise and go through with one of the funniest episode ever: " Little Green Men"

Your decision, Your Highness
