Silo (Apple TV+) | Rebecca Ferguson, David Oyelowo, Tim Robbins

Pacing would be fine if some of the non-Juliette characters were more interesting and some of the Juliette stuff wasn't repetitive.

I thought Bernard has been the most interesting character this season. I wish they had given Sims more to do though. He was such a central character in Season 1, but in Season 2 it's been Camille who has been the interesting one.

Just started watching this show and very impressed with it so far. Finished ep 5, "Janitor's Boy," last night.
I just recently got into it myself. I've been super impressed with the real feeling and immersive world they created. Difficult given how different it is from the real world. I love how they depict it visually too. You can feel the sense of decay and the struggles against that. Characters are generally good. And the way they try to keep the Silo from erupting in chaos feels realistic too. Knowledge is power!

I'm still processing the finale but the flashback to DC and the Pez dispenser reminded me of Battlestar Galactica's season 2 finale and the jump forward a year. It actually wasn't a shocking cliffhanger but a really nice tease to what is to come.

Everyone in this episode was great. Bernard was great, Juliette was awesome and I'm excited to see what happens next. Hopefully the wait won't be too long.

I write this post, opening my Darth Vader helmet PEZ dispenser and taking a piece of cherry PEZ candy.
It looks like they are moving from them events in the first book, Wool; to the events in the second book, Shift. It should be interesting to see how far they will depart from the books and still maintain the story.

I thought that was a fantastic season finale! Everything worked in that episode. Nice combination of wrapping some threads up but clearly starting new ones.

I sincerely hope the third season is greenlit!

Well, the last scene wasn't that shocking but the one before that was quite cliffhangery and did not get resolved! I don't doubt Juliette lives (tm), and probably
Bernard
too, but I'm not sure how and in which condition for the latter.

The finale was great, maybe with the exception of the somewhat clunky reveal that Solo happened to know about the Safeguard (and thus Russell apparently found out before the end, much like Lukas did). It was a subtle point though that it entirely tracks with the dialogue between Silo17's sheriff and his wife: "did you think he was lying?". I always thought it was a mistake in the dialogue, as the impression given was that Russell talked to them about the environment (presumably telling them it was not safe, despite Ron Tucker lives(tm). But apparently it was about the safeguard, in which case he told them he had disabled it (or believed he did).

I would have wanted Juliette to tell Bernard that he was right: she cleaned in the end ("they all do"). Maybe she still will, in season 3.

It was a fantastic season, for the second time. Season 3 and 4 have been greenlit and season 3 has already started filming.

In answer about Juliette lives in the next spoiler.
Juliette is wearing a red firefighting suit she got from Solo in Silo 17, Bernard is wearing a standard white cleaner suit. You can probably guess which one is more suited for protection from flames.

If this were Lost, there'd be an entire episode dedicated to the Pez dispenser.

If this were Disney, one of the characters in the silo would be named Baldwin and a dirty bomb would go off in For All Mankind.

Great finale. The last bit did throw me for a few seconds though, i thought there had been a glitch and i was watching another show. :)

3 & 4 are greenlit and best of all promised to be the finale. So no milking it

I reckon it was before that. Probably told the rebels that the overlords will release the gas if everyone goes out. I must give that prologue another watch later.

Had to check and make sure Apple+ hadn't auto jumped to another show.

I really wanted to know what The Algorithm said to Lucas. And I wonder why it was willing to work with Camille but not Sims. I assume that will all come together.

So glad Walk wasn't a traitor.

The Safeguard...hmm. What would be the point of a doomsday device for people already hiding from doomsday?

The Algorithm see's everything so I assume it has calculated that Robert is a bit dim and Camille has been one of the smartest players in all this.

Excuse me, but did she really try
to open that massive metal door with a tiny crowbar, risking tearing her suit? A door that I assume was designed specifically to prevent that?

Presumably, she also should have known about the seemingly lethal decontamination procedure. By the way, you do know this is not a spoiler thread?

I know what happens in the books, so I wonder if Tim Robbin's character, Bernard Holland will be around next season.
