Should Tuvok have a cameo in ST:XI?

No. Quite frankly, I think we've had enough "crossovers" in the last few films that I don't think we need to see anymore. Spock is understandable, because he fits the story line and they are probably using Leonard Nimoy as a means to help promote this film. That's what I miss about this first six Star Trek films, it just used the original cast (which of course, is all they had at the time) and had no need for crossovers and they were good movies.

Ok, so I get the fact that maybe the writers/casting were trying to show that different races also may exist on other planets, but why black? Why not go all out and have a red, green, blue or even mother of pearl colored Vulcan? ;)

So I've been wondering, not much has been established about Tuvok canonically speaking.

You apparently aren't much of a Voyager fan. Tuvok was born in 2264.

The movie's taking place in years prior to 2265 (the year of "Where No Man Has Gone Before.")

FAIL!

Exactly.

It would be like having First Contact with the Borg take place on "Enterprise".

Or Sisko hanging around during "The Trouble with Tribbles".

Ridiculous!
