Should Tuvok have a cameo in ST:XI?

Tyberius

Commander
Red Shirt
So I've been wondering, not much has been established about Tuvok canonically speaking. We do know that the Vulcan race is long-lived, and therefore he could have been alive in the 23rd century. And since Abrams and his cohorts are saying they'd like to provide various links to the other Trek series, this could be a perfect link to VOY. Have a scene where Kirk and Spock enter an alien night club in search of Nero. While they're looking around, they pass by Tuvok. You know what would make this scene even better? Have Tuvok wearing a sombrero. The potential is awe-inspiringly awesome.

Discuss.

Too soon?

Token po-faced serious reply:

I could be mistaken, but I think the VOY episode established that Tuvok was 29 during the Khitomer Incident. If so, then he's born in 2264--he's an infant during the five-year mission, and not yet born during the Academy years.

Suddenly I've got a mental picture of a screen filled with repeating Tuvok images and, superimposed over them, in ytmnd-type font:

SO...
I'VE BEEN
WONDERING...

Maybe the audio could be " ...Shall I flog them as well?"

I'll hold off on closing this for the moment, but I think we may have about reached the limit on this particular trope. ;)

Does this mean my poll on how many red shirts will die is not a good idea?

Damn!
Well, let's not turn it into the "So I've been wondering... " Forum just yet, anyway. A poll might work, as a diversion.

Well there is a certain part of this topic of which I have not had my fill; that is of the reference to other shows. Just what could realistically be expected to appear to reference each of the other shows in the franchise?

We have conjecture of a statue of Archer (ENT)

The movie itself? (TOS)

Soong? (TNG)

Dax? (DS9)

? (VOY)

As long as the thread is about something, then we're cool. :techman:

It's the situation to which the pinned thread at the top of the forum refers (many threads consisting of content-light repetition of the same gag) that we'd like to steer clear of. (You can see where that sort of thing might get out of hand around here, I hope. ;) )

Maybe in the 24th Century scenes but Tuvok was born in 2264 so it's unlikely he'd appear in the past.

Mayve Guinan instead.

Should Tuvok have a cameo in the new movie?

Yes, a nice Victorian one with plenty of diamonds and an ivory portrait.

Oh, frack me. I haven't been in here for a while, and I thought the poster was dead serious right up until the sombrero.

Well played, sir. Well played.

*breaths deeply*
