Should they have resurrected Spock?

I was reading a Star Trek post on Facebook about like and death this afternoon. And I wondered how the original movies would have played out after the death of Spock if he wasn’t resurrected. And I recalled the inner conversations Archer had with Surak. What if they did that between McCoy in 3 through 6. Spock would assert some influence over McCoy when he’s needed. A can you picture McCoy arguing with Spock when it’s just Deforrest. I thought it could be funny. Of course mind melds are out of the question. But eventually he could learn the neck pinch.

Bringing back Spock so early after such an emotional, and monumental death was premature and diluted the elements created from Star Trek II IMO. I wanted to see Saavik (Kirstie Alley) and David grow into the Star Trek Universe, and I wonder if Harve Bennett and studio didn't show the coffin torpedo on Genesis and allowed Nick Meyer to complete his vision, would Meyer would've returned to write and direct III? I don't believe keeping out Spock too long would've be a good franchise choice but I would've loved to see some of the elements from II fleshed out more. I thought the Genesis concept was interesting and it destroying itself in III was a waste of an idea.

At least they didn't bring Spock back in the same movie he was killed in.
