Should there be sequel movies or comics made to the Section 31 movie?

Maybe one Long Trek where Emperor Georgiou switches places with Captain Georgiou in “”The Vulcan Hello” and “Battle at the Binary Stars” and sacrifices herself, while Captain Georgiou ends up in the Lost Era.

And a six-part miniseries that follows Rachel Garrett & Quasi in Starfleet, not Section 31.

Other than that, I would not bother.

I think with 1 movie behind it that’s widely hated and no chance of anymore… well, what’s even the point in having a S31 Section?

It’s a dead duck on a hiding to nowhere.

There was a movie? I pretty much blanked it from my memory because of how bad it was.

If they want to do an Actual S31 in the DS9 Vain.. sure, i'm all for it. But this gang of throwaway characters from a C grade movie.. naaa.

I seem to recall someone saying that it would eventually be folded into a subsection of the Discovery forum, and I imagine that day will come when they create the Starfleet Academy forum.

Should there be? No. Will there be? Don't count it out based on IDW and Pocket Books track record.

We did get a single issue comic prequel from IDW. That may well be it, and I could hardly blame anyone for not wanting to licence something that was not exactly well received by fans.

And yet.

By the end of the movie, the most obnoxious characters were out of the picture and the remaining ones were the most interesting ones. I see a little potential there, though it's extremely unlikely ever to be realized. Also, I recall reading that the people who were writing the scripts for the planned S31 series did not write -- and reportedly were not given the opportunity to write -- the TV movie. I wouldn't mind a nonfiction book that talks about what could have been, though it'd be most likely to be a chapter in a book on the current era overall rather than a whole book on S31.

I don’t know if there should be sequels, but as I said elsewhere before, I personally wouldn’t mind a sequel of some sort that would either take Georgiou out of the picture or drastically reduce her role. I really liked Quasi, Garrett, Alok and Virgil and think there’s potential in the setting to tell a more interesting story than what we got with Section 31.

*Raises hand* I wrote three sequel fanfictions that are available in the fan fiction forum.
Hey, I totally missed those, so thanks for pointing them out. I just read the first one and really enjoyed it. The conversation between Spock and Georgiou was perfect and did more to attempt to redeem the character than all her appearances on Trek combined. You really got the voices of Spock and Georgiou right. And as a big fan of Mission: Impossible I really appreciated the mission the other characters were on, even if I felt it could have been a bigger part in the story. And I appreciate that you didn’t kill my boy Virgil. 🤍🖤

Yes, that’s still the plan and I suspect it will actually happen any day now. :)
