It needs to be scaled down though. The 2009/ST:ID version would be fine.
What Exeter version? The Kelvin version is my second favorite after the refit.
I think the Exeter looks stupid.
It needs to be scaled down though.
The one @Blamo posted in the video. What Exeter version?
along with the Excalibur from the Peter David series
STO's Excalibur-Class was launched in 2391No? I never read the books.
Ah. I never use it myself. If I go cruisers while leveling I usually use the Vesper. The Excalibur is too gangly for me--the pylons look so flimsy. And if I use the Connie refit, I end up just ogling it while B'Vat's lackeys are shooting at me.STO's Excalibur-Class was launched in 2391
It should be the ST09 Enterprise.
Confusing to whom?It might be confusing if it's the ST09 Enterprise.
Thousand times this!No ... but with qualifiers. Use the original shapes, proportions, sizes, and colors, then add in small details to the hull and better textures. Put pipes under those grids in the nacelle struts, and the leading edges of those struts might get some venting. Rework the details on the nacelle insets so they're smaller and more intricate. Rework the edge of the primary hull so that it has the same angle, but more detailed 'layers'. Make the navigational deflector assembly a bit more interesting. Add airlocks similar to those seen in the movie version of the Enterprise.
Details smaller than a meter could easily be considered to have been missed by the poor resolution of 1960s, but easily distinguished in modern, HD resolutions. From a distance, this should clearly be the original ship, but when the camera gets close, more detail becomes obvious that sets the ship in the same production style as Discovery.
It might be confusing if it's the ST09 Enterprise.
