No ... but with qualifiers. Use the original shapes, proportions, sizes, and colors, then add in small details to the hull and better textures. Put pipes under those grids in the nacelle struts, and the leading edges of those struts might get some venting. Rework the details on the nacelle insets so they're smaller and more intricate. Rework the edge of the primary hull so that it has the same angle, but more detailed 'layers'. Make the navigational deflector assembly a bit more interesting. Add airlocks similar to those seen in the movie version of the Enterprise.

Details smaller than a meter could easily be considered to have been missed by the poor resolution of 1960s, but easily distinguished in modern, HD resolutions. From a distance, this should clearly be the original ship, but when the camera gets close, more detail becomes obvious that sets the ship in the same production style as Discovery.

STO's Excalibur-Class was launched in 2391
Ah. I never use it myself. If I go cruisers while leveling I usually use the Vesper. The Excalibur is too gangly for me--the pylons look so flimsy. And if I use the Connie refit, I end up just ogling it while B'Vat's lackeys are shooting at me.

Let's not kid ourselves. We're not going to see the Constitution class like how it looked in TOS. So if we did see one, do not expect it to look like that.

But honestly I don't think we're going to see one at all.

It would be nice if they kept the same basic outline. But they would undoubtedly add lots of unnecessary surface detail based on the mistaken contemporary notion that a bunch of mechanical crap stuck to the exterior of a spaceship makes it look more advanced.

Thousand times this!
