Should the console room be redesigned for season 5?

I would like one series or season to not change anything. Not change The Doctor, not change the other people, just two seasons in a row we get a good Doctor and a good friend, that's it!

Well since the next season of Who will have to be different might as well make any changes then

We should keep the set mostly intact, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was subtly upgraded by Moffat making the coral walls and pillars a creamy white like the original 60s console room, getting rid of most of the mesh floor, tidy up the central Console, while installing a spiral staircase into the unseen corner of the Console Room that stretches up into the domed ceiling and going down into the deck. Shows the TARDIS is a living being that has gone back to relative normality after hard years of the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors.

Of course my brainfart, but a shake up of the TARDIS set when the Eleventh Doctor is casted would be most welcome and unavoidable, since the production crew changed things around with the TARDIS set in the original Doctor Who.

Interesting definition of "subtle" you have there.

I think they could find a way to make a pretty cool opening that still had the Doctor in it. It could open up with a starry screen and you see an image of the 11th Doctor with a sly grin and he makes and makes one of those come-here gestures with his hand -- and right after that a big time tunnel opens up and the Tardis launches into it. Or maybe near the end of the Time Tunnel sequence it zooms in on the Tardis and the Doctor throws open the door and the camera goes into the darkness. The classic styel of the head, though, would look pretty cheesey today.

As for giving the TARDIS a new theme, I think they have to do it at some point -- but at the moment I'm still not bored with the coral design. I'm not really sure when would be a good time to change the theme.
