Should Morn Be In Trek XI

The Wormhole

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
So I've been wondering, not much has been established about Morn canonically speaking. There is nothing saying his race isn't long-lived, and therefore he could have been alive in the 23rd century. And since Abrams and his cohorts are saying they'd like to provide various links to the other Trek series, this could be a perfect link to DS9. Have a scene where Kirk and Spock enter an alien night club in search of Nero. While they're looking around, they pass by Morn. You know what would make this scene even better? Have Morn wearing a sombrero. The potential is awe-inspiringly awesome.

Discuss.

Morn should be the central character of this and every piece of "Star Trek" that follows.

Morn should give the "Space... the final frontier" speach at the end of the movie.

Oh, and he should be played by Shatner. Two birds in one stone.

Hmmm...

It could work.

Morn should be in the background in every scene, but nobody ever mentions him untilt he end when he walks up to the camera, says "WHO SAYS YOU NEED SHATNER TO BRING BACK KIRK?" and winks.

only if he's sitting at a bar, wearing a sombrero, eating chips and guacamole, looking at a model of the enterprise--with blue nacelles.

But if Morn is in this, how exactly would we know it is the SAME Morn, and not some other member of Morn's species who happens to have the same name?

...Oh. And there needs to be a scene in which Morn walks into the bar and everyone gives a jovial welcoming yell of "Morn!"

Yeah, because all Lurians look alike, right? That's what you're saying isn't it. Tell us how you really feel!! You probably think all Lurians love Jumja Sticks and Dabo. Next thing you know, you'll be saying they should have their own schools!!! You're a raving anti-Lurianite!!!!

^
^^Oh puh-lease...another bleeding heart Lurianite, just like all of the others.

Next thing you're going to tell me is that Bolians are good for something other than cutting hair.

And don't forget he did tell Bashir he has seventeen brothers and sisters.

'course, when Spock sees him he'll have to shout "MORN!"

I can see the conversation now.

Spock: "MORN!"
Morn: "SPOCK!"
The two turn and look at a table with dabo girls sitting at it.
Morn and Spock together: "THE WOMEN!"

Oh, and remember, both Morn and Spock are wearing sombreros.

Morn shouting is not canon! Let alone speaking! Therefore, if Morn speaks on screen at all, I ain't gonna watch that movie! :scream:
