Ships on DVD intro screen

On the DVD's just at the language selection screen there are these Alien ships that don't appear to be related to anything in the series although they do look like a crude version of Goauld ships. Does anyone know what they might be?

They're just generic space ships quickly designed for the DVD, nothing more.

I forgot to say that these are on the SG1 DVD's so I doubt the Destiny (which I'm assuming is the ship in Universe) was even known at the time the DVD's were produced.

Anyway, being generic ships are what I thought they might be but I wonder why they would go with them instead of actual ships, would it have cost more to do?

I've seen those. They come from the same school of cheap DVD menus that got us a picture of an upside down Babylon 5 on some versions of the Space: Above and Beyond DVDs.

I have never seen such a thing. Then again, I also don't have any reason to ever look at a Language Selection screen. I'm not even sure such a screen exists on the R1 DVDs.

They load up when you insert the DVD, before choosing English, German (or whatever...). Once you pick, the camera zooms in on the engine exhaust at the back of the ship at the front and the standard 'Play' 'Episode selection' etc screen is shown.

Crewman47, they probably took about 5 minutes to make on the cheap in a 3D program. The CG on the region 2 DVD menus of early SG-1 weren't great.

Hmm...I've never seen these before. I have the R1 DVDs up until season 8 and those menus were basically a still frame of the Gate. Did they change and use animated menus for seasons 9 and 10?

Do you really need to be condescending considering that info wasn't mentioned in the thread anywhere other than one vague reference to Region 2?

On one of the later season DVD sets of DS9 some Dominion ships are depicted traveling at warp...backwards.
