Ships of the Line 2010 Calendar preview

I like the D'deridex warbird getting a refit. Nice to see a Romulan ship in a context outside tense military stand-offs...

So are those Romulan shuttles the shuttle seen in "In the Pale Moonlight"? We only saw it from the front in the episode, so its hard to judge.

Always nice to see the tough little ship. Drexler does mention there that he was pleased Probert used his Romulan shuttle design. Drexler did design the DS9 Romulan shuttle if I recall.

No, I'm pretty certain this is a new design. An impressive one!

From the following quote made by Mr Drexler it would be safe to assume they are in fact the same shuttle design that featured in In the Pale Moonlight :bolian:

I’m thrilled enough as it is, and then Andy honors me by using my Romulan shuttle design in one of his paintings!

Also the images so far shown for the calender are all great and my favourite so far is tied between the Aventine image, the drydock construction image and the Dominion war image.

Ah, I didn't see that. Thanks!

I've been considering picking up the calendars for a while now, but after seeing those images I'm pretty sure this puppy will be my calendar for next year.

These images are ridiculously good looking.

Far better than what we got in this year's calendar.

From DD's blog, his first sketch of the Romulan shuttle:

and an assortment of photos of the model (two posts):

The last two pictures in the first photo link above show the shuttle from rear angles, and pretty closely match the shuttle seen in Probert's painting.
