Does anyone else think I think would have been funny if Chakotay's clothes had disappeared along with his case when he passed through the temporal barrier in the turbo lift? Watching him act his way out of that would have been brilliant.

Like when Tuvok was dreaming he was naked? I hate those dreams, lol. Not the Tuvok or Chakotay ones, but my ones..

In Star Trek even the laws of physics causing that spatial rift are evolved enough to understand they should respect the norms of decency.

Or the chronoton based serium the EMH developed was intelligent enough to understand it should protect the clothes, too.

The clothes were on Chakotay when he struck by the beam, and soaked in chronotons as a result.

The serum might have affected Chakotay's body emmisions in any way that affects more-than-skintight (= clothes) objects, but not bulky ones like the carryall?

I would've liked to have seen that for the realism aspect.

Starfleet uniforms are made of an algae-based fabric which doesn't vanish like equipment. It's from an Animated Series episode, to explain why the uniforms shrunk with the crew.
