Chakotay: I just left Icheb and Naomi assembling a jigsaw puzzle in the Cargo Bay.

Chakotay: In a few years, he may be running the ship.

 

[Orac]

Janeway: I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to retire just yet. Janeway to the Bridge. Report.

Kim: That was some kind of gravimetric surge. It's over loading our inertial dampeners.

Kim [OC]: Engineering says the warp core's destabilising.

Chakotay: I'd better get down there.

Janeway and Chakotay walk off in separate directions

SEVEN: A spatial rift is opening directly ahead of us.

 

[LeadHead]

The Bridge.

Seven: (over comm) It's emitting high levels of neutrinos and chronitons.

Kim: On screen.

We see the strange anomaly on the viewscreen, then Janeway enters the bridge

Kim: I don't know.

In engineering, things aren't going well.

Torres: We're losing containment. Everyone out!

Everyone but Chakotay and Torres leave. Chakotay goes to the console near the warp core as a burst from the anomaly hits Voyager. A pulse shoots out of the warp core and hits Chakotay, sending him to the deck.

Torres: Torres to Transporter Room. Beam Commander Chakotay to sickbay, Now!

We see that half of Chakotay's face is normal, the other is that of an old man.
