CHAKOTAY: Deck eight.

JANEWAY: Our people?

 

Chakotay: I'm going to be your First Officer.

 

JANEWAY: Really. What's the reason we're going to this, er, Astrometrics?

(Her headache is starting to grow!)

 

CHAKOTAY: It has temporal sensors that can help us map the ship and tell us how many time frames we're dealing with.

 

Janeway: Now you're trying to tell me that Harry Kim invented temporal sensors?!

 

Chakotay: No, we used Borg technology for that.

 

JANEWAY: Borg?

 

Chakotay: They're a race of evil cyborgs, but that's not important right now.

 

Chakotay: It's a long story.

 

Janeway: Maybe you should keep it to yourself. The Temporal Prime Directive. The less I know about the future, the better.

 

Janeway and Chakotay enter a darkened corridor. Two crewmembers are unconscious on the deck. Janeway examines one of them, while Chakotay picks up a nearby tricorder.

Janeway: She's got a pulse!

Chakotay: I'm reading an active neurogenic field. This could be the day the telepathic pitcher plant put us all into comas or it might be the time aliens invaded our dreams.

 

Janeway: We've got to get them help!

 

Chakotay: Don't worry, we managed to get out of both situations.

Chakotay and Janeway leave the area.

Adult Naomi: Captain.

 

Janeway: I'm sorry. I don't recognize you, Lieutenant.

 

Adult Naomi: It's me, Naomi Wildman,

 

ADULT ICHEB: How did you ...

 

Chakotay: Are you Icheb?

 

JANEWAY: Something tells me you weren't expecting us.

 

Adult Icheb: No, Ma'am.
