Again, I notice that our board's two project insiders remain silent on this revelation.

Best. Final. Act. Ever.

I already told you he was in the film weeks ago.

And there you have it - STARTREK11 has confirmed my plot leak in its entirety!

Who could doubt it now?

Remember this, folks, when you're watching the thrilling climactic sequence where Spock is frantically spinning those vectoring nacelles on the Enterprise in an attempt to move in close enough to the Nexus to snatch Pike from the jaws of Whoopi Goldberg!

Ilogical.
How would old Spock know about changes in timeline? He is part of this timeline, isn´t he?
The Spock´s history would change too.
Has he hability like Guinan?

^
"Logic, Valeris, is the beginning of wisdom, not the end."

Spock uses his special Spock senses to change the timeline, don't you know that? He gains them from the yak hair in his eyebrows. ;)

Is there some new warning we can invent for people who run into a joke thread and try to spoil it for everyone as fast as they can?

I'd be interested in voting for something like that.

I mean, socially shunning them is always an option, but I think we need something a little more severe.

The beautiful part is that many will only read the first post. So they are going to miss any discussion of its merits anyway!

Of course we are serious. Starship Polaris has posted major news about the film and I believe it.

In fact everyone has missed another major revelation in his post - the title. Its going to be called "Star Trek 2008"! I don't know if that makes much sense but I read it on a message board in a post by someone who wrote an episode of TNG. So it must be true.

We should all spread this new info as far as possible.

Actually, EA Sports has the rights to Star Trek 2008 and will have Adrian Peterson on the cover. This version from 2K Sports will be Star Trek 2K8 and have Eli Manning on the cover.

This is very similar to the proposal I posted at trekmovie.com some time ago. A site, screenwriter Roberto Orci visits regulary. A coincidence?
Judge for yourself:

But in my proposal Shatner travels back in time together with Nimoy. Just one scene for Shatner as Kirk is lame. He needs to have more to do - like in my proposal :)

And why would Spock let his best friend die in order to help Pike?
If Kirk is alive and well in the future all is better than it was, isn't it? Strange.

I heard it was going to be called "Andre Star Trek 3000" for the urban audience.

^ So was your post over on trekmovie.com a joke post, too?

No, it was a proposal I made. I meant it serious :) Just an idea I threw around that maybe Mr. Orci could consider...

But it is a strange coincidence, isn't it? ;)

First of all, as I've been saying for months, Shatner will be in the new Trek movie. There's no doubt about it at all. The public statements to the contrary are purely a free publicity stunt.

Second, of course old Spock would know that old Kirk was supposed to have died because old Spock spends time in his space-time sensory deprivation tank that he uses to combat the effects of Bendii syndrome. When old Spock comes out of the tank and old Kirk hands him a towel, old Spock knows something is wrong.

Mmmm. Give him a few years and then demand half of his mansion or you'll camp on the front lawn. ;)

In all seriousness, I was trying to find the article Jack Bauer referred to in this post, and came across this story from about two weeks ago about Shatner having agreed to do a cameo... or has that been retracted?

spock will turn to someone - probably winona ryder - on being asked the question: "How do you know Kirk's not supposed to be alive?" and with subtlety, warmth, and a little gravitas, he'll reply: "I'm Vulcan".

And that will answer everything...
