Superman, I could easily warn you for trolling here as you deserve a warning and should rightfully get one after all the friendlies and warnings you have received for similar behavior, but just to show you that I am not so out-to-get-you as you claim, I'm gonna let you off with a strong friendly.

A forum that could quite possibly be visited by Shatner or people that work for him/know him? If you'll recall, his daughter Elizabeth visited the TBBS years ago.

If anything, these Shatner bashers are trolling. Not ONE thread dealing with Kirk or Shatner is immune from the idiotic and asinine comments about Shatner's weight, hair loss,and ego, yet NO MODERATOR puts a stop to that?

I will speak out against this, as I see it as wrong, regardless of whose opinion mine disagrees with.

And I think you moderators (yes, not just YOU) need to look at this issue and issue one of your little stickies about it.

There are others here who will also step in and call idiots out for insulting not only Shatner, but ANYONE who works on Trek.

And I think the administration here needs to do the same.

For your information, I have put down the Shatner-bashing several times around here. In fact, I friendlied one thread about it last week...and passed out a string of warnings a couple of weekends ago due to a fight over Shatner. Go look in the threads from last week and the warning utility - both situations are easy enough to find.

But see....I was not the mod who reviewed that post. If you will notice, Akiraprise was the first mod to post in this thread after that guy did...and he let it go. And around here, we do not question other mods decisions unless they are really, really, out of line. And as Neroon correctly pointed out, that post was borderline at worst.

So if you have a beef with that particular call, take it up with Akiraprise.

I, however, was the first mod on the scene after you posted...and so I had the stroke of good fortune to moderate YOUR post. And frankly, your post was trolling.

I could easily have given you a warning, but I was trying to be NICE (not to mention the fact that I was hoping to avoid the usual big hokin' deal) by giving you a friendly.
