Sha're 2.0

Joe Washington

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
Season 3: Sha're, possessed by her Goa'uld, is shot by Teal'c to stop her from killing Daniel. But SG-1 was able to take her to the Tok'ra who had a captured sacrophagus in their hideout and they use it to bring Sha're back from the dead. Freed of her Goa'uld forever, Sha're has been given back her freedom and has a joyful reunion with Daniel back at the SGC. But, after going what she has gone through and with her brother still possessed and her child lost somewhere in the galaxy, Sha're makes the decision to become a member of SG-1 aganist Daniel's personal objections.

What things will remain the same and what things will change with Sha're as a member of SG-1 from that point on?

This isn't a spoiler for the new dvd movie. This is a "What if" thread for some Stargate SG-1 fans who may not have been happy with what the creators did with Sha're.

well, we'd have the initial overprotective husband Daniel episode when she first goes into the field, assuming she isint carted off to Area 51 for interrogation or kept in the mountain as an intelligence asset.
Her presence on the team would have given the show a diplomatic aspect, sorta like Teyla on Atlantis.
Daniel could be written off easier & given a happy ending by them finding Skara, accomplishing his goals, daniel goes back to Abydos to live happily ever after...until Anubis destroys the place

I agree with her being carted off but it'd be to my place for some intense interrogations after Daniel dies yet again.

Seriously I would be afraid she would be a Teyla and drag the series down.

I would think the team dynamic would become more interesting. Sha're and Carter would become good girlfriends chatting with each other about stuff. Sha're and Daniel's relationship would make things complicated in certain situations. Sha're and Teal'c, who was the one who turned her into a Goa'uld, would learn to become comrades and friends putting the past behind them. They would also be linked by their knowledge of the Goa'uld, which would make Sha're a valuable assest to the team because of her personal experience. Sha're would also learn how to do jokes and handle weapons from Jack.

Imagine how her arc would be when Daniel dies of radiation in Season 5 and has to cope with life without him in Season 6 while dealing with the new addition to team, Jonas Quinn, who Sha're would blame for Daniel's death.

The writers would never make Sha're part of the SG-1 team. It would make no sense. If they did save her, she would have gone back to Abydos, Rya'c-style, with Daniel remaining on SG-1 because "the galaxy will never be safe until they are stopped". She might make an appearance here or there once in a while.

My "what if" about that episode was what if Teal'c had set down his staff weapon and plucked the zat gun off his belt and shot her once? If i were Daniel, I still wouldnt talk to that guy.

Personally, I would rather they have killed off Apophis then made Sha're, his Queen, the Big Bad for several seasons instead of Anubis...or, in the ultimate twist, revealed Anubis to actually be Shar're in that episode in which Daniel saw Anubis' face. Leave us wondering for several seasons who he saw, then, in Anubis' final episode, when Daniel is in the Celestial Cafe, there comes Sha're, and boy is she evil.
