Alright, who's playing this awesome, addictive old-school side scroller?

It's up on Xbox arcade for 1200 point, and worth every one of them!

The game's an excellent mix of old-school side scrolling combined with modern gaming.

So who else is playing?

I love it. We don't get nearly enough Metroidvania games, and getting a really good one not set in Dracula's Castle or an alien planet is a nice change of pace for the genre.

I tried the demo and really didn't care for it. I guess I never really was side scrolling gamer anyway. I've been playing 3d games for so long that I found it to be a little disorienting, and too restrictive.

I hold pretty much the same opinion after trying the demo. I was never a huge fan of side-scrolling platformers to begin with, which is probably the biggest reason for my dislike.

Trials HD, OTOH, really caught my eye. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth dropping $15 on.

Just get the PC version. It's cheaper (or it was anyway).

Also, apparently there's a glitch in the demo where you can play the full game - mash start when you defeat the first boss and get the pause menu to pop up, then load a game... at which point the game screws up and you can essentially access all the areas.
You'd have to finish the game in one sitting though... and probably not die, since there will be no checkpoints.

I'm still loving this game, maybe it's my nostalgia for awesome side scrollers, I really did think they were awesome back in the day.

IMO, It's a well crafted game that really brings the fun and look forward to more new side scrollers.

I so TMNT just got released on XBOX Arcade, so I think I'll have to pick that one up as well.

1200 points for a 6 hour game that's a lot of damn fun is worth it IMO.

Word. What the hell are people expecting in an arcade title, Fallout 3 for a tenner? Besides, in an age where people are expected to pay £40 for shooters with sub-7hr single player campaigns, this is not poor value for money at all.

It's a fantastic little title, and actually the most full fat adventure on Live Arcade yet.
