SGU/SGA crossover

This could be interesting considering the radically different tones of the two shows. They certainly managed to integrate O'Neill in seamlessly.

Sounds good to me. It would nicely continue the integration of elements from the whole Stargate franchise. I'm hoping that Sheppard is one of the two guest stars. It would be good to see him again.

My guess is McKay and Woolsey.

McKay because he is the popular one. And being an expert on the Ancients gives him a logical reason for being involved.

Woolsey because his IOA connections also give him a logical reason to be involved.

Teyla and Ronon are too Atlantis-specific to be of any use on SGU. While there's nothing special enough about Sheppard and Keller to warrant them appearing on SGU. Well, okay, Sheppard has the gene, but that doesn't do much good body-swapped on the stones, does it?

I doubt Joe Flannigan will show up, since he was the spokesman for the rest of the cast whenever they wanted to bring something up with the writers, which made him "problematic." The producers will probably try to get David Hewitt, since he was in SG-1 and they like him.

I think the radically different tones make it kind of pointless.

Da article said:
Are Sheppard and Nancy rekindling their relationship? Are McKay and Keller married yet? Has Carson completely adjusted to the life he left behind? Are Rodney and Radek still having it out on a daily basis? Is Torren teaching his fellow pre-schoolers how to stick fight? What's going on with Ronon and Amelia? Was Woolsey happily reunited with his yorkie? Did Major Lorne come out with any personal revelations? Again, stay tuned.
Who the hell is Nancy? Who the hell is Torren? Is that... Teyla's kid? Who the hell is Amelia?

I watched every episode of that show

Amelia was the Gate room technician who struck up a bit of a mutual admiration thing with Ronon after she helped fight off Michael's guards when they took over the city.

Torren is Teyla's son. Nancy is Sheppard's ex-wife.

I'm amazed they haven't asked for McKay's help yet. Just threaten him with a lemon - they'll be home within a day.

Apparently I can't remember Ronon's love life beyond him inexplicably losing out to Dr. McKay. I guess considering that, Eli's plight is probably just a way of balancing the intergalactic karma.

Sheppard had an ex-wife? I think Young's ex-wife took over that cluster of neurons!

At least I got a point on Torren thanks to good ol' fashioned context at least! I remember Teyla getting pregnant, I don't really recall her giving birth... but now that I think about it there was that whole "I'm ready to return to duty" plot with her towards the end.

^It wasn't really a romance with Ronon and Amelia, he was just impressed with her when she showed off her kickboxing skills.

After the Wraith brainwashed him, she did visit him in the Infirmary though.

Nancy was played by Kari Wuhrer if that helps you remember her.

In retrospect, I think I have to agree with The Wormhole on this. As much as Shep was my favorite character on SGA, both McKay and Woolsey are the two most likely characters for cross-over, for the reasons listed above. Plus, both characters originated on Stargate: SG-1, so it's in keeping more with connecting to the original show.

Either way, I find the whole thing of interest, and I'm greatly looking forward to next season.

Me too. :rommie: I vaguely recall some of those names, but let's face it, a lot of the characters and plotlines were unmemorable to say the least.

I'd be interested in seeing Shep again for old times' sake. McKay and Woolsey's schitcks have grown obvious and tiresome. They'd just start their predictable whining all over again. At least Shep knew how to shut the hell up and shoot something.

And for Hermoid's sake, they should bring back the dominatrix pirate chick, what was her name, Luellen or something like that?

How about we not bring any over at all?

How about we focus on making the SGU characters work and writing them good stories instead of bringing over SGA people for a ratings boost?

I doubt the SGU writers have actually been paying attention to the criticism about the writing, instead writing it off as "hate." As it is, it's doubtful that the writers will try to fix their mistakes, as admitting their faults and that their idea for the future of Stargate sucks would be a massive loss of face.

Atlantis wasn't popular enough to say that bringing those characters over is for a ratings boost.

Plus, it's coming at the tail-end of the season, when the decision on whether to renew the show will be based on the performance of the first half.

I like to think that this show's attempt at being more mature will mean that she'd try her "don't hit me back, I'm a woman" nonsense with Greer and then realise her mistake.

It'd kill two birds with one stone as it might make me like Greer a teensy tiny amount.

Larren. She was played by Jill Wagner, aka that chick from the Blade series.
More like the best thing about the Blade series.

It doesn't matter to me if the bring on anyone from SGA. I'm beginning to doubt we'll see a DVD SGA movie so this'll be the next best thing to find out what hapened post series.

I agree with this, although I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to Ronon and/or Teal'c pay a visit to the Destiny and beat the snot out of a few characters.
