I wish this bothered me more than it does.
Shrug. Oh well.
I feel the same way.
The show was getting better..ah well to little to late i guess
Well, I think we all knew this was coming. I'm just surprised they waited so long to officially cancel it.
Still at this time of the day we have no other confirmation besides that site, while i believe this is probaby true, lets here it from some more notable sources.
The biggest surprise in the skiffy TV world since the cancellation of Star Trek: Enterprise, no doubt about it.
This really isn't a surprise. Too bad for the people working on it and for its fans, though.
Acheivement Unlocked: Dead Franchise Status obtained (?)
Is this the end of the Stargate Franchise?
SG-1 movie: Often promised but often delayed.
SGA movie: Really can't see that happening.
Future Gate Series: Really? After this?
Is it going to get any kind of wrap-up? Will the crew make it home?
Dammit! Why does SyFy cancel all my favorite shows? Ah, well I never thought it would last beyond three seasons anyway. The season 2 finale is probably a cliffhanger and we'll get no resolution. Hopefully they can resolve it somehow or do a strait to dvd movie (highly doubtful).
I think Stargate needs to take a long break for now. No more series for a few years or go the Star Trek route and become a movie franchise for a while. Reboot, anyone? But maybe since MGM is bankrupt this will be the end of stargate forever.
Oh well, at least it sounds like the final 10 episodes of the season will air. It could be worse.
And SyFy further cements their ability to screw things up.
Not a shocker. I am sorry for it's fans though. I predicted this would happen at the start of this season.
Well. That's the end of Stargate.
..hears the explosions at gateworld.net... Waits for the 'Save Stargate' and 'Save SGU' campains to start. Fans will mail in thousands of homemade Kinos to SYFY
Re: Acheivement Unlocked: Dead Franchise Status obtained (?)
Perhaps. I think it needs to take a long break and/or be rebooted. Becoming a movie franchise like Star Trek has switched to would be ideal I think but that probably won't happen. Some direct to dvd movies maybe. It wouldn't be good, I think, to jump to a new series. Also, isn't MGM bankrupt? This could very well be the last Stargate.
Damn, I really liked this show.
