SG1 10x06: 200

Wicca who Wonta

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I found this episode hilarious! I really liked the way they good-naturedly poked fun at themselves.

They really packed it with a lot of fun stuff but the puppet part was one of the high-points.

"I'm the general. I want it to spin - now!"
"Retired? I thought you said you were tired"

Season 10 is much better than season 9 this far. I'm glad that I decided not to be discouraged by the fact that I didn't like season 9.

:D

200 is indeed hilarious and I too thought that season ten was better than season nine.

I'm glad someone finally makes a thread about this great episode. Seems it's been lost in time and we never talk about it.

I'm hoping that the skit with the young people is what they are basing SGU on. That would be almost as perfect as basing it on the marionette skit.

But yeah, definitely a great episode. And I'll also agree that 10 was better than 9. Vala started making a huge difference as well by filling RDA's shoes in the humor department.

^ I agree! Vala is a great character and a lot of fun.

I hope I'll find the rest of season 10 as good as the first part. :)

200 was embarrassing crappyness. Wormhole X-Treme: Great fun. '200' a giant awkward immature mess.

Jack was once again terrible.

Couple of funny moments, but that's it.

If they had included the skits in 200 as some kind of DVD extra it would have gone over better, as it stands I can't believe that they aired that as an actual episode.

Exactly, it was cringeworthy

Yeah. I mean, the series never took itself too seriously but at it's best it was still a fairly solid action adventure show. Over time, it degenerated into a stupid parody show of space opera. Stargate is a joke, but the joke's on the fans that still think it's quality programming.

I liked 200. Damn fince entertainment on its own, but it also brought back memories of Stargate's better days. Particularly, seeing Jack O'Neill again was an excellent reminder of how much the show lost when he left. The invisible O'Neill segment perfectly showcases this.

Wow, will you marry me? :techman:

I think Republicans may have an issue over that :p
