Grade!

Stargate Universe Drinking Game Moments.

"Lot of work"

DRINK!

Senator's daughter makes out with Lt. Alterboy

DRINK!

Next week, "EARTH"...not the planet, Destiny runs low on potting soil...

After that "Heart", an emergency heart transplant.

Then for the midseason finale, with all their powers combined CAPTAIN PLANET!!

6 chevrons. Now what have we...

- We got a combo with this episode... A little horror and a bit of a 'gate mission. It wasn't as good as the last few episodes, but it was alright.

- Looks like Lt. Scott and Chloe have a little fling going on beyond last week's moment of passion, one destined for trouble. He was pretty cold (no pun intended) and she thinks she's in love. It won't just end, it'll blow up in their faces, and they can't go their separate ways.

- I know some of you made fun of the "subtleties" last week, but I like what we got this time around with Chloe pining for Scott and Eli looking annoyed.

- I liked the scene when Eli made the connection between the swarm and the water. No one else figured it out, but they remained silent and Rush acted as if he did think of it. The show has done well with little moments like these.

- This is the first time I really noticed how pretty Alaina Huffman is, especially with her hair pulled back and styled the way it is. She's no poor man's Scarlett Johansson. She does look like a blonde Ashley Judd though. I was also paying attention to how they can shoot her pregnancy and it looks like they can shoot around it. Almost all her shots were from the chest up.

- I liked the rather abrupt ending with Young signing off.

6/10

There was definitely a decrease in quality from last week.

Professor Rush is really getting on my nerves with his constant comments about Eli needing to grow up (because lying to the guy in charge of their lives = maturity  ).

Chloe is once again useless, but I did appreciate her telling Rush off.

Question: how did that guy (the one who died shooting at the cloud of aliens) even get into the SG program? Don't they have any standards at all?

Let's see we have a remake of a season 1 episode SG-1 and a remake of the "smoke monster" episode from season one of Atlantis.

The only good part was when Eli went "I refuse to call it episode 5".

Someone else dies, and they admit it this time!

So what? 75 people left? At this rate we know the show can not go on longer than 75 episodes because no one will be left.

From what I understand the shooting schedule isn't a problem and so they won't have to shoot around her. And, yes, she's a beauty. Now, she's not as good looking as Scarlett Johansson but no one is.

8 chevrons from me... I liked it, although not as good as last week.

I guess the people bitching about lack of action and gate usage finally got some of what they asked for. :D

So is there action? Is the episode filled with things other than talking/arguing/kino speeches?

I'm still unclear, did those few chunks of ice solve their water problems? Because all that ice they brought back might melt into 200-300 hundred liters tops.

"Good work everyone. Lt. Scott and I have brought back enough water for everyone for one day. I guess we'll be mining for water again soon."

I enjoyed this episode, it was nice to see Col. Young go on a mission. The story with the sand monster on the ship was well done and the effects for the episode were top notch. Overall a good episode.

The character of Young is starting to grow on me as is Greer, Rush is still awesome thought as you never know where you are with him! It will be interesting to see where the series leads us once they have fixed all of Destiny's problems.

Lol, I had the same thought when I first saw the episode titles.

6 Chevrons for me. I'm starting to get a better sense of Greer, beyond "generic angry guy", and what I've seen has been good. I also liked the callback of the little bug guys, though I wish a little more could have been done with them (waiting for the EPA of this galaxy to fine them for cross-planetary contamination). I liked the look of the Ancients spacesuits - sort of steam-punky, sort of armored, a little reminiscent of ENT's suits in terms of color, but bronze/copper tones seem to be the way to go these days.

On the downside, they have front-loaded the show with one too many materials shortages, I think (looking like next week doesn't go that way, thank god.) Rush's comments to Eli were a bit off, in fact that whole bit about "lying to each other" seemed a bit of a waste, I thought. Also, it's hard to hear through that gravelly voice but I'm pretty sure Col. Young's dialogue was 50% catchphrases this week. "At least a _____ times. That's got to stop.

Re: SG-U

I liked the Alien vibe with Sgt Greer going on a bughunt with his flamethower. What was with his assistants acting like they would use their 9mm on something smaller then a replicator?

Next week doesn't look good, unless you want to see people get shot that is. Anyone doubt that someone will try to promote Sgt C. Mutiny?

Booyaa! There it was, the first sign of Eli becoming Evil Eli! "Don't worry, your air will run out long before we'll leave you behind", without a single sign of him just joking. Epic! So... I didn't got it the first time, but it was Hawt Army girl who was standing in the broomcloset with Scott! Well, atleast that scene had it's use, though I still find it meager. It was widely guessed that the sand alien got on board, though I wouldn't mind if they would actually give us an explanation on some of the stuff. Why did they got into the container so easily? And what's with them making faces? Rush needs to stop calling Eli a kid. It annoyed the heck out of me throughout the ep. The kino barge was a great idea. "Wow Eli, that's amazing!" "Actually it was an attempt to fly..." XD A good (but not great) episode with a lot going on. I like ^_^

There was water in the container, that's why they went in so easily - and willingly.

Those looked like the same suits the rogue Asgard wore in SG:A, just with clear faceplates.
