I gave it a 7, but in retrospect I think I should have gone higher. It was a good ep that covered a lot. The Chloe storyline sucks and I hope Greer is forced to 'take care of business' soon, things grind to a halt when she's around.

Somehow I feel like they switched the show from nuBSG mode to full Star Trek mode the last couple of episodes. Camile is now suddenly the ship's counselor or something, Young has gotten his captains' chair, the bickering among the crew was considerably toned down, and they started exploring and bumped into more aliens...

Re: SG-U

Automated Drones with a central command ship. I was debating with myself were they Cylons or Replicators? I choose Cylon because they looked like the original BSG and back then there was no Caprica to confuse the matter
Actually, they remind me of the droids from the Star Wars prequels. The control ship thing is cribbed directly from Episode I.

Wonder how much they had to pay Whedon to replace Chloe with River Tam?

I can't believe they just trusted Telford immediately, after he tells them he plugged his brain into the Turtle Aliens (Ursini) VR pods.

And, as someone predicted a couple weeks ago, they've finally introduced the 'replicators' (and these 'drones' will be every bit as groan-worthy bad, I predict). I hope I'm wrong, but I predict the drones will be awful.

I was under the impression that the "drones" are simply those unmanned ships that were attacking Destiny. I don't think we're meant to assume that this is some sort of robot enemy.

Despite all the coolness -- Am I the only one still wondering "what the hell happened at the end of the last episode? What happened with that light? And that one last survivor who was telling the story?"

I mean... did I *miss* something there?

Oh... and am I the only one who keeps hearing ORsini, not URsini? (Maybe it's the historian in me, and I'm programmed to hear "Orsini"...)

Much like "Time," they elected to go with the "You can figure it out on your own from here."

Basically, the light was the aliens that built the planet showing back up. Caine died at that moment, and so he died on the ship, as well. The aliens did what they could to repair the shuttle and resurrect the dead, but they couldn't force the bodies to continue on, and they eventually went back to being dead. Presumably, the shuttle will be a bit more durable, since repairing a mechanism is a bit less complex than reanimating a corpse.

While not explicitly show, Caine died. He said it himself, he could feel himself dying. He's dead.

And the white light are the "aliens" which will probably, hopefully, be explained before the series ends.

9. I quite enjoyed that. I think all the different aspects of the show are finally comming together. The characters worked!! Visually the show looked great. I love how the ship looks inside and out. And, they're focusing on a fairly taught adventure style plot. You're investingating, deciding, exploring, etc right along with the characters. That should be the focus of this show, that's their real strength--allowing the viewer to explore the unknown with them. They add a lot of nice, real touches that bring you right into the show. Like the bridge scene where they don't know how to basic things. Simple looks of holy cow, can't believe I'm doing this. It's realistic and amplifies the adventure.

I couldn't quite give it a 10 because there were no real payoffs. They introduced a lot but even for a cliff hanger the viewer should get some payoff, something revealed or resolved. We didn't get that.

I like how everything is coming together for this show. If we had gotten to this point earlier the show would've had a better chance of surviving.

I totally agree. If we had gotten this as the first season finale, there would be a hell of a lot more people invested in its continuation. As it is right now, I'm sure there will be a fair number of people who will be disappointed if the show is canceled now, but it wouldn't be that unexpected.

Pretty decent. Went with a 7. I still don't care about Chloe at all. I've seen the Stargate franchise bone quite a few decent cliffhangers in its day, so let's just hope there's an interesting conclusion.

This episode reminded me quite a bit of TNG's Best of Both Worlds. An implacable foe. The graveyard of ships. Overall tone. Etc. So, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a similar type of conclusion. In BOBW, they inserted themselves into the Command and Control structure and sent out a signal to sleep. In Resurgence, we know there is central command ship. I'm guessing that they'll find a way to jam the signals long enough for them to escape. In both cases, the foe is left relatively undamaged and ready for a return engagement in which the heroes need to be ready for.

That's how I see it going down. Just hope we don't have to wait too long!

This was a good mid-season closer. Annoyed that I have to wait a few months for the rest.

I laughed out loud at Eli's pie comment. Something about it just tickled me, maybe it was his dead pan expression as he said it. :)

Oh, i forgot to say, I like how the bridge transforms when it goes into battle mode. The comment from Eli was funny: "Oh more monitors"

- It’s nice to see them do a bit of exploring, even if they are trying to get home.
- Chloe is like Ford in Atlantis: a character that looked good on paper, but doesn’t work in reality. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her vanish in the same kind of manner.
- I’m still having a hard time with Eli and Ginn being madly in love for all of two episodes and Eli’s reaction. It feels as forced as Scott and Chloe.
- Brody is by far my favorite character, he’s got the best one liners outside of Greer.
- It’s awesome to have Lou Diamond Phillips back. He can only add to this show.
- I’ll admit I forgot Destiny powered up like that.
- Way to go Eli, let out the girl whose being affected by aliens on only her word.
- Once again, Mike Dopud steals his scene. Maybe its because he was paired with the weaker actor in Alania Huffman, but he stood out.
- I wasn’t impressed with this episode as a midseason finale. It was an alright episode, but it felt like an episode that could have set up a midseason finale instead of being one.
