Ah, "Frozen". Back when meeting an Ancient was still something special.

Yup, and back when Stargate was still week-in week-out excellent. Season 6 was great.

Amazing how totally and utterly Atlantis screwed the Ancients up. Even worse than what Voyager did to the Borg!

Gave it an 8. Overall I liked it, but I'm now finding Chloe to be quite insipid. She had her little thing with Lt. Scott while leading poor Eli on the entire time, only to come home and get pissed off that her boyfriend was cheating on her. The hypocrisy has completely made me lose interest in her character and I now hope that Eli NEVER gets into a relationship with her. She's not worthy of him. She and Scott deserve each other now.

It wasn't her boyfriend that made her mad. They'd already broken up. She was angry at her best friend because she was seeing her ex.

Finally got around to seeing it, and I loved it. This was the sort of thing I was hoping for with the stones: it's awkward, it's painful, there are glitches, and things are going to get very complicated, very fast. I had to deduct a chevron, however, for the Chloe scenes; Elyse Levesque just didn't pull it off, even as the shallow senator's daughter. But I gave one back for the look on Young and Telford's faces when they switched, for a score of 8.

Somehow, someway, I had never seen an episode of any Stargate series until this week. So I got curious. Start at the beginning? Nah — let's just try SGU: "Earth".

Needless to say, this was probably not the best introduction to Stargate.

(I'll admit, the whole one actor for two bodies thing threw me for a while. At least, I think that's what was happening.)

Sort of. They have tech which lets two people trade consciousness over extremely long distances. Typically this is illustrated on the show by using the actor who's consciousness is present, unless they're looking in a mirror or we're explicitly being shown how someone else sees them.

Yeah...let's dub it the Quantum Leap Maneuver. It would've been fun if Eli had called out for Ziggy, and no one but O'Neill laughed.

I should have mentioned this before... I'm surprised that Eli's mom took the time to make freshly baked cookies for a stranger who dropped by.

Making cookies from scratch is hard work. I couldn't do it for a stranger who just dropped by.

"Wait here while I go to the kitchen of an hour and a half."
