I thought it was kind of funny when Michael's henchman told him "you have the genesis device. Why worry about the self destruct, lets just leave. Your's is the superior intellect."

Yeah, there were a lot of classic villain blunders but we can only laugh at this point. But it was a good episode.

Any blunders Michael made here were possibly caused by his feelings for Teyla. Why didn't he just kill her as soon as his people found the baby ? He repeatedly offered her chances so he wouldn't have to kill her.

As for Teyla somehow beating Michael up, nobody hates that kind of scene more than I do, but all she did was block him from striking Sheppard and then kick him a few times, after catching him by surprise. If you look, Sheppard appears to hit him too. He then loses his balance and falls off the ledge.

The only thing that would've made it better would've been if while kicking him she said, "I! HAVE HAD! ENOUGH! OF YOU!!"

One of the better episodes from the last few weeks. Gave it a good just for the stun bubble.

This was my first Atlantis episode in a while, and I liked it.

It was nice to see Sharon Taylor, who played Banks, finally get to show off her kickboxing skills.

And they finally killed off Michael! Maybe now Teyla can raise the kid in peace.

And it would have been fitting: My first reaction to watching Michael being dropped off the building was "shades of Captain Kirk." :p

Yeah I also would hve liked to hear some trash talking from Tayla. But that was a real good surprise having her jump in the last minute.

I gave it 3ZPMs. I really liked this one especially the ending since the was in the Die Hard mold it was ritting that Michael die in a Hans Gruber fashion. And I really liked the remote controlled cars scenes we rarely get to see the characters in their off hours so it was a couple of nice character building scenes. And the fight scenes were all well done IMO.

Ronins' "mission report" at the end saved this from a bad for me, since I'm not into Micheal eps. I can just hear Kpnuts saying "so a mission report saves a damn episode?" (he said that about the painting in "harmony" last year) :P

And no dicktease-keller! That was a plus.

And is it me, or did the gateroom actually LOOK like it had been rebuilt? It didn't look as "ancienty" to me.

While I'm at it, since I seem to be unable to PM you, "who" was your previous avatar (girl in spandex with an S on it)? And I'm guessing that your current one is from some sort of graphic novel based on red alert 3?

That was Ms. Marvel.

And it was a nice one too, I'd like to know where he got it from.

My current avatar is from the cover of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

As DWF points out, I use Ms. Marvel in a lot of my avatars as she is one of my favourite comic book characters.

I'm not very good at keeping copies of my avatars, but here are the ones I could find:

There was also the Marvel Zombies one but I can't seem to find that.

I voted good just something about the way they killed Michael was a bit of a let down but saying that i did not except him to die at all.
Wonder if there is a Michael clone to come back and get his revenge.
Anybody ells think of kirk when John and Michael started fighting.

Yeah, good enough. Happy to see Michael get a definitive ending for his story (I guess he's dead for good now, right? :rommie:) before the show ends. I hate loose ends.

But the whole storyline is still sour for me because in the end, the Atlanteans did what they should have done back when they first experimented on Michael, namely KILL HIM YOU MORONS! :rommie: They shoulda never started the experiment if they weren't willing to do that, bah, okay that aggravation is over now. But it tainted the whole plotline. Teyla killing Michael means that everything that happened between "Michael" and this episode was unnecessary and the fault of the Atlantis dolts.

Now what we need is for someone to give Connor Trinneer a show of his own, preferably sci fi. But not SG:U, don't force me to watch another show just for ONE actor! :rommie:

Which means Michael died because he was merciful while the Atlanteans are both stupid and ruthless. :p This is the most blithey amoral show on TV (that's a good idea, I wish it were more blatantly amoral and just have the Atlantis gang become space pirates who do whatever the frak they want and rationalize it because nobody can stop them.)
The only thing that would've made it better would've been if while kicking him she said, "I! HAVE HAD! ENOUGH! OF YOU!!"

Michael is the one who should have said that, since he's the victim in this grotesque scenario.

Great episode. A fitting end for the Michael storyline.

Where did that gatetech come from? And what happened to Chuck?

The only thing missing was some sort of "we brought you into this world, we have to take you out" sort of speech. But that's more of the writers failing to make their heroes acknowledge their massive errors.

Too cliched. I'm glad the writers didn't do that. Nothing was really needed to be said. Her expression did it for us.

Michael could have sent a clone of himself to do the diorty woirk

That would have been a very baalsy thing to do.

And a cop-out. Now that the series is ended, I'm glad we have closure to this storyline. Also, due to the series ending, the storyarc won't be undone by having Michael somehow resurrect himself.

They did say they were considering some well-known names.

Define "well known." :p
