Where has Banks been all my life. Her and Ronon double-teaming the nu-Wraith was pretty fun. I rewound it about three times.

"You can fight?"

:censored:

After all this time... all the times that Michael had the upper hand... all the times he has escaped ... all the bad things he has done... he dies being DROPPED OFF A BUILDING BY A PISSED-OFF WOMAN?! :scream:

I voted good ... because right up to the lazy writing of The Death of Michael it was good.

I just think of it as a valentine to the stargate fans.

I think his death worked perfectly considering he was cornered. Teyla had to be the one to kill him considering their relationship. Plus the fact that she's a mama cub protecting her baby. The only thing missing was some sort of "we brought you into this world, we have to take you out" sort of speech. But that's more of the writers failing to make their heroes acknowledge their massive errors.

His death was STUPID. He was always focused and always put self preservation /escape at the top of his list of choices.

I have no dispute with that. But frankly it's ridiculous that Michael kicks Ronon's ass, kicks Shep's ass, and then he gets beaten up by a girl?

Yes. A lovely coda to the insipid "defense" they put on last week in "Inquisition." :p

Beaten up by a girl? It's Teyla! She kicks as much as Shep and Ronon. I know we haven't seen her fight since The Missing but don't forget she's no Keller. Plus Shep softened him up and Teyla was fresh and ready for some whup ass. By the way, Rachel looked smokin' hot in that final shot of her standing on that balcony (which, BTW how about they install some guard rails next to doors that lead to ledges.)

Yes, she does.

>>... snip ... << Plus Shep softened him up and Teyla was fresh and ready for some whup ass.
Well, if it comes to that, Ronon "softened" Michael up too.
then -- after being shot in the arm -- Michael is still able to pummel Shepard...

Then Teyla turns up and Michael is toast. Give. Me. A. Break.

I thought the episode as a whole was pretty good. But the end when Michael dropped from the ledge was pretty stupid. I mean when he first flipped Sheppard off the top ledge and Shep landed on the little beam I mean C/mon. All Michael had to do was drop down really quick and kick Shep in the face and he was dead. But he LET him get up and then when they were fighting after that (I wont even go into the fact that Michael seemed to go mute) All he had to do was toss Shep off the ledge and it was over then. But Nooo. It was clear that Michael was stronger and a better overall fighter than Shep but its like he just let himself get beat. Thats Shitty writing "my friends". And all he could manage was a "no teyla" really quick before he dropped??? That was perfect time for him to hold on a little and say something good and Nasty. And they could have shown his face for the entire drop...especially right as he dropped. The editing cut was Dupid...

Yeah, Michael's death sucked, but I kept expecting Shep to fall off and land on Rodney's jumper so at least they didn't use that cliche.
As Teyla was kicking his hands off the ledge, she should have been saying "I... have had... enough... of you!"

3 ZPM's...

Loved it and this shows that the writers have some good stuff left in them and I love Michael's death because we know it was written like that so if there was a 6th season maybe he could of survived hitting water but since not, its a certian death.

It was something different for SG, Bad guys don't need a major death it was very Die Hard esq ;) and I loved the fight scenes and Teyla whopping his ass was great.

GREAT NEWS - this frees up Conner to play main chatacter in SG:U :p go on producers pick him, you know you want too.

This was a fun romp...but I too which Michael had a better death scene. Personally, I wish they'd left the whole thing to Teyla - a real Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker kind of moment, but this time "Luke" (aka Teyla) shows no mercy.

By the way, Rachel looked smokin' hot in that final shot of her standing on that balcony (which, BTW how about they install some guard rails next to doors that lead to ledges.)

She did! I've always thought she was OK but she didn't really "do much for me" but she looked great there and I really liked seeing her with a big smile at the end.

That was a pretty fun episode. Ronon's "report" was a bit predictable but still funny, Wolsey has worked out pretty well I think. Some good action, a good pace, and the characters didn't annoy. It was another "locked out of Atlantis" story but with enough oomph to carry it through.

Michael could have sent a clone of himself to do the diorty woirk

That would have been a very baalsy thing to do.

I was kinda hoping Teyla would've pulled Micheal up, only to deliver a punch, knocking him off the ledge as he stared back at her in disbelief at her fooling him.

The only nit I'll pick is with the car racing. Couldn't they at least have been outside instead of in some drab corridor? It would've been so much cooler to see them racing those down a street, or around a plaza. It's a freaking city, don't tell me that in 5 years, they couldn't have built some outdoor sets for the city. And what became of Major Nelson? We have to assume his/her team was captured in order to gain his/her's IDC to transmit in order for gateroom operator to lower the shield.
But this was a good outing, and good that Teyla got to do something for a change. And kudos for showing us Banks' kicking some hybrid booty. :bolian:

3 ZPMs. Best episode of the season.

Not sure why it's mandatory to have a one character visits wounded other character in sickbay scene at the end of every episode, though.

Excellent episode :techman:

But...considering Micheal's tenacity in not dying, I think he might survive a fall into water :p

Trinneer in the movie...oh the possibilities!

ETA: what was Michael intending to do...keep a lock of Ronin's hair? LOL! That part was a bit weird ;)

^I think he was intending on cutting Ronon's head off rather like he did with the Wraith Queen in The Last Man - if you look he puts the knife to Ronon's neck.

I thought this was an excellent episode, one of, if not the, best of the season.

I can picture it now...

----------------------------

The screen flickers on, and we see Teyla, once again, confronted by a rather familiar villain.

"Hello, Teyla," Michael says to her.

Teyla looks at him with her typically Athosian means of expressing her horror... by revealing the kind of mild concern that one of the Tau'ri might express concerning a leaky dishwasher. "How did you..."

"You know, Teyla, I really should cease my habit, but for some reason I feel this compelling urge..." Michael blurts out in response, "...to take time and effort away from my latest nefarious scheme, so that I can provide adequate plot exposition concerning my most recent escape from the Atlantis expedition."

"See? This is what we get when we don't send teams of frogmen to search for his corpse..." quipped Meredith, who seemingly was also in the scene, for some reason. "...but maybe I can find a way to pin it on Zelenka instead."

*bzzt*

"There a problem, Trip?" Jonathan Archer stepped into the viewing room, just as the NX-01's chief engineer angrily switched off the viewer.

"Aw, I can't believe this!" Trip cursed, "they've gone and turned one of the actual interestin' bad guys on the show into a total farce!"

The Captain shook his head, wondering where his old friend found the time and effort to spend sitting watching old Earth television programmes. "Sorry to hear it, Trip, but I was hoping to catch the subspace feed for the water polo game..."

"Aw yeah," Trip shrugged, handing the remote to the Captain. "I just hope that if I ever kick the bucket, it'll be with a lil' more... style."

"Well, I'll say this, Trip," Jonathan clapped him on the shoulder, as he sat down for the game, "either way, I'm sure there'll be no shortage of people who'll help to embellish it!"
