Just saw on facebook that we're getting a redesigned title sequence and logo again.
Ah, if it's the same basic sequence as before and they're just changing the logo, that's okay. I'd have been annoyed if they'd junked the title sequence, though. An update on the title sequence changes...this could be interesting.

Yeah, I know, "hark at the fanboy slamming it before it's aired..."
I just really *reallY* fucking hate The Snowman and everything to do with it, because it's so fucking inescapable every fucking year. And I hate the pliers-up-the-skirt song. And the animation.
The Star Wars Holiday Special is better...
Ohhhh, Allyn, I hate you a little bit. I was one of those who didn't manage to score any tickets, and I've had no luck finding anyone who did get some and are willing to part with them (understandable I suppose--I wouldn't part with mine if I'd gotten any!). Still, if anybody I know online was able to get tickets, I'm glad it was you. (You swine.BBC America is doing a preview screening in New York City next weekend on the 25th.
They announced on the Anglophenia blog on Wednesday that the tickets would go on sale sometime on Thursday and that the link would be provided on BBC America's Twitter feed.
Like many people I know, I spent my Thursday with a browser window open to BBC America's Twitter feed.
Then the link went up shortly before 2 o'clock yesterday.
And several thousand Doctor Who fans on the East Coast (and possibly further away), perhaps even tens of thousands, clicked through at roughly the same time.
The result was, essentially, a DDoS attack on the website of the ticket provider. The website crashed.
Somehow, in the midst of that DDoS attack, I scored tickets for "Asylum of the Daleks" in New York City, followed by a Q&A with Matt, Karen, and Caroline Skinner, for next weekend.
I'm starting to get excited. It wasn't real to me yesterday. Now it is.

Check your credit card and see if you were charged. If you were, call movietickets.com (1-888-440-8457) and check. Their servers were so slammed that the confirmation may not have gone out. I didn't get my confirmation e-mail until 1 o'clock this morning.I got as far as entering my CC info and name and address, the PROCESSING spun and then crashed out. I offered 10 times the ticket price to anyone who wants to sell theirs![]()
