Spoilers Section 31 General Discussion Thread

So when will there be a dedicated Section 31 subforum? January? Will it be in the "Streaming Trek" section or " Star Trek Movies " ?

Personally I would open the forum next month and put in the Steaming Trek section in a new subforum titled "Streaming Movies " and rename the existing Movies section " Star Trek Theatrical Movies. "

I'm no webmaster though

My guess is that it could fall under the Paramount/Netflix Streaming section, possibly a new thread forum called "Streaming Star Trek Movies".
From the recent news articles coming out, it seems that They may be planning more of that kind of Trek entertainment in the future.
I suppose it could also fall under the Star Trek Movies Section as DISCOVERY Movies since that is the era the main character came from, but unless They release it in the theaters it probably fits better in the former than the latter.

Andor from that other Star franchise didn't lean into James Bond cliches when doing their sci-fi spy story, and ended up being critically acclaimed for its more "realistic" portrayal. I have a feeling that Section 31 is going to suffer from comparison to that.

Thought this was going to be an actual new teaser. It’s just some fan-made thing editing old footage together, which is probably just meaningless as far as what they’re doing with this movie.

Ah, you’re right; it’s from the official Star Trek YouTube channel. Still, my point stands. I’m hoping we get at least one more actual teaser before January 24th, that doesn’t make the movie look like a bargain basement Guardians of the Galaxy.

Yeah this wasn't another trailer, just a hype reel for fans that may not be up to speed what Section 31 actually is.
