Season TWO OFFICIAL TNG Blu-Ray Discussion Thread

The addition of the collar definitely made them appear more professional.

32" Tvs are useless for watching most blurays, I use my 32" mainly as my PC screen. I had no probs seeing the cool new menus on my 47" tv.

That's one of the things that annoys me about the switch to blu ray. It's really only beneficial if you get a big-ass tv to go with it...

32" TV's are fine for watching Blu-ray discs. I'm watching TNG-R on a 32" in my bedroom right now and it looks stunning.

I've only got a 22". Blu rays look great but even dvds look good on one of those unless you're sitting within a metre of the screen...

Shit, look at Jack London in "Time's Arrow" he was the bellhop but apparently in charge of the hiring/firing practices of the hotel he worked for! Heck, he seemed to be the hotel's sole employee!

He was also a one-stop shop for getting whatever equipment Data needed. Better than Amazon.

Anyone else notice anything goofy on the disc three gag reel? At 6:46, the image moves about two inches to the left and stays that way for the rest of it.

But they're suppose to be explorers not bankers. :techman:

I'm pretty sure an modern military person would tell you that they are a professional doing a job.

But Picard told me Starfleet was the military! :p

More seriously, we don't see military officers going into a situation in their dress uniforms. The season 3-7 uniforms just looked really out of place for the daily operations of a starship and away mission duty.

I know I might get bashed for this but I think the Enterprise uniforms were the most realistic of the Trek uniforms. I liked them quite a bit.

Nor were they any longer in uniforms causing them severe back pain.

I understand the behind the scenes reason for changing them but that doesn't mean they looked better than the season 1-2 variation.

Besides, Frakes looks like he's about to go all Hulk on his uniform in season two.

I liked the jumpsuit idea, but I didn't think the colors worked.

I thought they were fine for you guys running around operating the ship but looked out of place for first contact/diplomatic scenarios. If I was an alien race I'd think they hadn't made any kind of effort.

Different aliens are going to have different views on fashion. Compared to the Klingons, Starfleet looks like they're in dress uniforms.
