Spoilers Season Two Anticipation Thread

As I write this, the S1 finale is a day away, and I'm already sad that I'm going to have to wait a while for new adventures of Mariner, Boimler and the rest of the Cerritos crew.

Anyone know when S2 is going to premiere?

What sorts of things do people want to see more or less of when it launches? What characters or issues do you want to see revisited or buried?

Anyone know when S2 is going to premiere?

As far as I know, nothing's been said at all on the matter. We just know production is currently undergoing on the season. I guess it's possible we could very well get it the same time next year as it aired this year, late summer through to early fall. Though about the only guarantee I feel we can make is it'll likely air before Disco season 4, Picard season 2 or SNW season 1.

Some examples of what I'm thinking:

Some things that I could see enjoying a followup to:

• Boimler's girlfriend (and her hanging with Mariner)
• Ramsey and the rest of her crew
• K'orin
• The Dog
• Crisis Point II: Plasma Bugaloo (perhaps shifting the focus to one of the other three Lower Deckers instead of Mariner/Vindicta
• Badgey
• A Badgey/Vindicta teamup? Maybe fighting good guy holocharacters like Vic Fontaine and Dixon Hill
• Fletcher's revenge (him enacting some cockamammie plot like Kirk's friend in Courtmartial)
• Jennifer the Andorian
• Admiral Mispronouncing-things
• Admiral Daddy
• The noncorporal being who disappeared into Freeman's clothing during that cold open
• Counselor Food-references
• Jet showing that he is in fact the second coolest person on the ship
• Delta Shift and its rivalry with our heroes
• The wood-loving freaks we didn't get to see in Temporal Edict
• The outcome of the Rat people/Lizard people peace
• The fate of the 1-percenters whose moon got blown up
• The slackers at Starbase 80
• A revisiting of the covert missions that the Upper Deckers were on to rescue the guy from Veritas and the planting seeds mission
• What was up with Shaxs smooching T'ana? Was that just the heat of the moment or are they a couple or what?
• Shaxs actually getting to blow something up because he has been a good boy.

Some things about our characters I'd like to see in flashback:

• Mariner's childhood and dealng with young Freeman and Admiral Daddy
• Mariner and Ramsey in the Academy
• How and why did Mariner get demoted?
• Showing some of the things that Mariner referred to when she was talking about having seen things
• Boimler Begins: How did he get to be such an ambitous little weasel?
• Boimler and Fletcher in the Academy
• Rutherford: what accident led to him being a cyborg?
• Tendi and her background as an Orion

Some new brand-new or newish things that I would enjoy seeing:

• A Mirror Universe/alternate reality episode (Mariner is the ambitious weasel and Boimler just gets repeatedly shivved because he's not paying enough attention to who's in charge at a given moment)
• A musical episode
• References to Voyager, Enterprise and Discovery (it feels like they should get more love).
• Guest-starring more legacy characters - Harry Kim as Founder of the Ensigns4Life club, Jake Sisko to bond with Mariner about the craziness of having big important Starfleet parents, Wesley Crusher popping in to tell Boimler to chill, Riker and Ransom bro-ing out
• The backstory on some of the stuff in the credit sequence (I usually get a smile about the Cerritos peacing out when there are the bajillion Borg cubes)
• Boimler getting a couple of wins through his eager-to-please, protocol-loving self
• Mariner taking an actual L from playing things fast and loose
• Plots that mix things up from the typical Mariner/Boimler, Tendi/Rutherford pairings
• Middle managers -- there have to be people between the Lower Deckers and the senior staff

Things I don't particularly want to see

• A Mariner/Boimler romance
• A Tendi/Rutherford romance
• A Mariner/Ransom romance

P.S. If by any chance there are actual people involved with the creation of Lower Decks, feel free to take any and all of these ideas to heart. If you wanted to throw a shout-out or cameo or a still frame or something my way, I wouldn't say no.

I think the Lower Decks mirror universe episode would be perfect, as long as it's as campy as the original TOS episode.

I'd love to see changelings. Imagine the fun we could have with a changeling. (even if they're not real!)

Another big cameo. Worf would be a great shout, or someone from Voyager. The EMH would fit perfectly. Tuvok on the Titan would make alot of sense.

An appearance of the Enterprise, voyager or defiant.

Cardassians! They got a mention but never actually appeared.

Well, let's go big, let's do the Shatner episode. Since it's a voice role you could go back to TOS Kirk, the movies Kirk, the Shatner Novels Kirk or all three! The possibilities are endless and really, it is way overdue to bring Shatner back in some capacity.

Since Riker is still visiting the NX Enterprise from time to time maybe Jonathan Archer might show up too. Maybe the Titan might run into Picard somewhere along the way.

Im hoping Boimler stays on The ''Titan'' and that Mariner doesn't do something stupid or causes Boimler to do something stupid that causes to be demoted. She is toxic to him and his career. If she's all for ruining her career so be it but don't take down someone with you. Also I'm glad they confirmed Riker and the Titan will be making an appearance in season two.

Supposedly, we're going to be getting some Riker-Boimler bonding next season (but no Troi). Perhaps Boimler will miss his friends, and Riker will see that, and negotiate a transfer back to the Cerritos (probably against Boimler's wishes), because he doesn't want to break up a team that works. Remember, Riker is the guy who spent 15 years with the same crew.

Then, after Boimler is transferred back, he's demoted for spilling coffee on Ransom again.
