Spoilers Season 5 trailer

That's a bit different. That triangle ship is the same one Fajo had when he invited Metalnose aboard to view Data in "The Most Toys." The implication here is that Metalnose acquired Fajo's ship and all his possessions later.
I imagine after the Federation arrested Fajo they auctioned off his ship after returning all the stolen items.

That would depend if the Federation had jurisdiction over him. For all we know they just sent him back to his people and let them deal with him. And as for his possessions, one would have to determine if they were acquired legally or illegally. While Data was definitely acquired illegally, there was no indication that his other collectibles were.

Final scene of the episode, it was more than just Data.

DATA: Unlikely, sir. Your collection has been confiscated. All of your stolen possessions are being returned to their rightful owners. You have lost everything you value.
FAJO: It must give you great pleasure.
DATA: No, sir, it does not. I do not feel pleasure. I am only an android.

Though you're right, while the Enterprise is holding him in the birg, doesn't mean the Federation arrested him, they could just be holding him for the proper authorities.

Thanks; I hadn’t seen the episode in some time so I didn’t remember what happened to his possessions. But I take it from the trailer that Toff got Fajo’s ship, unless he just happened to have the exact same type.

I'm no legal expert, but I should think kidnapping a Starfleet officer give Federation law enforcement plenty of probable cause to incarcerate someone.

Again, they could just be making a joke about how omnipresent the triangle ships are.

Even so, if Fajo isn’t a Federation citizen (my hypothesis only), then even abducting a Starfleet officer should still warrant the Federation to contact his planet first, since they would undoubtedly have more jurisdiction that they do and wouldn’t violate the Prime Directive. Now if his people said ‘we don’t care; you deal with him,’ then he’d wind up in a Fed prison for sure.

Again, they could just be making a joke about how omnipresent the triangle ships are.

By using the exact same ship configuration Fajo used? And it’s owned by another Collector? I think that’s more than just ‘we want to make a joke about reused models.’

Starting a re-watch in anticipation.

Halfway through S1.

"Envoys" and "Terminal Provocations" are my faves so far. Though "Moist Vessel" and "Cupid's Errant Arrow" were both good, too.
First one a bit uneven. Ditto "Temporal Edict."

I think the first episode of entire series is the worst episode of the series (so far).

I've honestly suggested new watchers skip it, and either watch it a few episodes in, or after they finish Season 1.

Why in particular? I keep hearing this but I loved Ep 1 and Ep 2 (and the whole series since).

Sometimes screen actors have a hard time transitioning to voice acting, but even in just that short clip I was really impressed with Garrett Wang's emotive-ness (assuming that is him)

The odd tube instrument! :D

I guess the big thing they didn't wanna show yet is the D saucer recovery ;)
