News Season 4 Official Teaser

Yay! Be nice to see what they have for us after all the doom and gloom of the Trekpocalypse.
Dinosaur planet

🦖 🌍

😁
Will the Starfox team get shoehorned in?

Seriously though, Dinosaurs in Trek has been something we need very much since that Diane Carey novel whose name escapes me in the early 1990's. Can't be worse than the last couple of Jurassic World movies, right?

I hope it’s a dinosaur planet rather than time travel to prehistoric Earth. Too much risk in the production going for the low-hanging fruit of recreating a shrink-wrapped Jurassic World T. rex instead of a paleo-accurate, healthy-looking specimen.

Excited about the female Vulcan cadet who beams Scotty down at the end. Please don't **** the character up, even if she's a minor one. I want Saavik and T'Lyn vibes please.

One of the DTI books had a Borg T-Rex. It mostly makes sense in context.

Star Trek Online also has cybernetically enhanced T-Rexes used by the Voth. (along with other dinosaurs)

Might end up being a Preserver planet or something.

Errm...is this a trailer? Or a vfx reel?

Don't get me wrong - I love this show. And for me, personally, I think this trailer indicates I will get what I want from this show - inventive episodic Trek plots.

But I continue to be baffled by how bad the marketing for this show is. Like last season, when they started the advertisement run with the worst moment of the season - the 4 1/2 Vulcan cringe. This time - it's just colourful cgi pictures that could be AI generated.

Most people watch television because they're invested in the characters. And all we got there is the first few seconds of SOME of the main characters looking at the screen.
It really feels like the marketing department absolutely don't "get" what people like about this show, or the show itself.

The dino is the thing I'm interested in. What could that be about? Time travel to our dinos, leaving tech there by accident, stepping on a butterfly, leading to the Voth? Or is this the origin of the Gorn? Could this actually be the Gorn queen? :D

I'm so excited to see season 4 it looks like alot of interesting stories . The dinosaur planet looks interesting the panel that I watched yesterday on Youtube everyone was excited about seeing the preview .I'm glad we don't have to wait a year to see them.:bolian::hugegrin::beer:

Hopefully it's a good season. Don't really have much of an opinion after that teaser. Kind of surprised they didn't show anything from the puppet episode.

Yawn...and that's an issue why?*

*- TOS is full of episodes where a character actually dies in the episode but is fully recovered by the end of said episode.

I can't really think of any Trek episode where I thought:

"Okay, I really wonder if this main character will actually die...(and the actor leave the cast.)

The only exceptions were during the Berman Trek era where cast changes were in Entertainment News weeks or even months prior to the episode airing so if you were a fan that followed the production, you knew before thr episode aired.
Right?

Captain Kirk, Spock, Bones and Ensign Smith beam down to a planet. Gee, I wonder which three will make it back to the ship alive?
