Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

I still think Shaw has been replaced by the real Vadic. He took Jack away just as they finally figured out what’s wrong with him in the cloaked shuttle. Then Frontier Day happened and all connected ships (including the Titan) fell prey to Jack. The only ship that can save them all is the one in hanger bay 12 in the Fleet Museum…

Vadic isn't over!!! She will be back as I think that's why they showed her eventual 'demise' outside the Ship! :techman:
She will return in the cracks in the corridors at least and turn up when you least expect her to.
Plus we still haven't identified the fiery head and without her I doubt we ever will...

I could have sworn I remember John Delancie saying he filmed stuff both Season 2 *and* Season 3 at the same time but now I cannot find it and he says he isn't in Season 3
An advance reviewer has said the end of season 3 clashes somehow with the ending of season 2 and makes a pretty big retcon. It could be they thought the Jurati Borg took over "the real Borg"... or it'd have to be Q. I'd say 50/50 chance Q is in the post-credit scene.

What happened to the original Shaw?

This season has already put a divider between Queen Agnes' faction and the OG Borg, so that'd be a hard one to miss. Q not being as dead as advertised I'd be pretty OK with, tbh. Partially because Matalas was involved with S2 anyway, partially because if we're gonna talk about TNG characters that didn't get a proper send-off, he'd be high on my list.

Okay so,

  • Picard was assimilated. Borg Queen left a backup in him, "iromodic syndrome"
  • He impregnated Beverly with his Locutus-sperm
  • Jack carries that backup
  • The Borg are weak and ancient
  • it'd be amazing if we got any more of Anne Wershing.

100% going with you on this. Irrumodic Syndrome is a dormant "Locutus" program of some kind. The queen is trying to activate it he's realizing the abilities but isn't connected to the collective.

One thing though is to think back how angry Q was in 202. If Q's arc was significantly altered from the original plan, Akiva Goldsman might have swapped Q dying with whatever would have happened in "Act 3".

Also some news from recent streams
-- The transporter thing from 305 is significant
-- The bridge escape hatch will come into play again

It wasn't de Lancie being chatty, it was Jonathan Frakes, outright talking about a scene between him, Brent Spiner, and John de Lancie that has NOT been seen in Picard at all, and there's absolutely no Season 2 story context where such a scene would've been filmed and cut: https://www.cinemablend.com/intervi...e-and-teases-a-picard-season-2-scene-with-him

Which means Frakes had to have shared a scene with de Lancie and Spiner in Season 3. Yes, Frakes claims that Spiner is "playing Soong" in the interview, but he probably was lying to cover up Data's return. The fact of the matter is, Frakes claims he played a scene with de Lancie and Spiner and it has not been seen yet. Q is probably in the end of S3.

EDIT: It's possible now upon reading what Frakes actually said, he was talking about directing de Lancie and Spiner.

I have been wondering about some of that first point. There's also the crewman that the changeling on Titan originally impersonated that made me think of it. But I can't really think what the relevance could be only that it exists.

I'm also wondering if something came through the rift that Borgati is supposed to be guarding.

Then there's a line in ep8 where Jack told Vadic it would be "useless to resist".

Vadic's promise of "silence" to her fellow changelings seems to fall flat if, going by what she described, whatever non-silence Section 31 injected into her she willingly passed on to other changelings other than the original 10. Hypocritical to promise a cure for something that you yourself helped cause.

For all intents and purposes, this is likely the final chance for The Borg to appear in Star Trek. So it just seems fitting to give them some closure here.

The Borg would be a disappointing reveal.

Thankfully the characters are what I'm here for now the low hanging fruit of the Borg.

I just realized that at the beginning of the BOBW log scene, on the desktop monitor you have two logs displayed via text. One is from Unification talking about Spock, the other is Picards very first log entry talking about Deneb IV

I'd be fine with a genuinely evil, terrifying Borg to make a final hurrah send-off and have that be the end.

However, I do understand why it may be disappointing to some
