Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

I think they might kill off Geordi before the end protecting his daughters. If the writers are hoping for the Legacy series, and the Matalas pitch includes Sydney (and, or Alondra), they might want to explore the fallout from it.

I'm thinking Geordi's either going to die or retire. I'm all for a Captain Shaw series, but I'd also be satisfied if Shaw takes command of the ship museum, especially if he has to fix all the ships if they're used in the final battle and trashed. That would definitely be a happy ending for him, doing what he loves :)

As much noise as LeVar has been making about wanting to come back for Legacy, killing La Forge off would be a shock.

Jack sees red veins and red doors with his red eyes. He's...
REDJACK! :D

The only thing still missing from the credits is this predicted function...

Picard as the Titan blows up...

Picard: My God, Beverly, what have I done?
Beverly: You want a list?
Jack: And for the last time, you're not Kirk!
Shaw: And it's not your ship!
Picard's last thought, "Where's Q when we need him?"
Q: "Out here."

In his TrekCulture review, Sean Ferrick pointed out that in ep. 8, Worf notably did not confirm that Raffi is not a Changeling, and that was right after the scene where Picard had to prove himself to Geordi --- either a rather stupid writing oversight, something cut for time or ... an indication that we have zero confirmation Raffi is not a Changeling.

Could Raffi be a Changeling? I'd consider:
  • Unlike other characters, she hasn't proven she's not
  • Like Vadic, seems to enjoy smoking; perhaps the evolved Changelings have certain weaknesses; Changelings probably never had to contend with the potential for physical addiction?
  • A high-level aide to JLP --- perhaps she was pulling string subtly since the 2380s?
  • She struggles with internal challenges, i.e. addiction --- Could this be related to being one of the new, fleshy Changelings?
  • Vadic spoke about what, nine comrades held and tortured by Section 31? Surely Raffi could be one --- not to get all "final five Cylons" on y'all.
  • She has kids and a grandchild --- Could they represent part of the Changelings' evolution, e.g. physical reproduction?
  • Perhaps she's a rogue-rogue Changeling, a double agent of a kind.
  • Honestly would be a decent twist, and would pose a moral quandary for Worf --- kill her or not, etc.
  • They don't seem to want to rekindle Seven and Raffi --- perhaps because at the climax, secret double-agent Raffi (a non-legacy character) sacrifices herself to save the Federation and her family, chosen and not)
Just a thought. I'm not an advocate for this idea per se, but it's an interesting theory. Could be done well, I think.

Okay so,

  • Picard was assimilated. Borg Queen left a backup in him, "iromodic syndrome"
  • He impregnated Beverly with his Locutus-sperm
  • Jack carries that backup
  • The Borg are weak and ancient
  • it'd be amazing if we got any more of Anne Wershing.

The big bad of Picard season 3 should be very grateful that the plan to destroy the entire Starfleet all at once will be a success, only a little over 500 years later than planned.

Perhaps Matalas wasn't joking when he recommended Sub Rosa before the show began :D
When Ronin possessed people, their eyes turned green. Other creatures like him could turn eyes red (male/female, or anaphasic 'races')...

I could have sworn I remember John Delancie saying he filmed stuff both Season 2 *and* Season 3 at the same time but now I cannot find it and he says he isn't in Season 3

Maybe it got left on the cutting room floor?
