Basing a lot off the delivery of one line of dialogue I know, but it certainly sounds as though Spiner is playing a Soong rather than Data. Though I suppose there could be flashbacks?
Probably already covered but surely Spiner isn't going to play, well, anybody? He's said he's too old to play Data which presumably means any android that looks like him. Maybe they spent half the budget on de-aging him.
I'm not really. Data was intended to be brought back through B4 in a movie after Nemesis (which seem to have major elements of TWOK), and B4 would have held Data's "Katra". I had been hoping they would have done that on Picard, and just left Data on Coppelius to help guide them. I don't think that we would need to see Brent Spiner again in Trek, just an occasional on-camera mention. *There - I got that out of my system (somewhat)..........LOL
Brent Spiner will play a Soong. Probably Altan. That's what they do in Picard. Get with the program, people. It was sooooo fitting that Lea Thompson was in an episode where Brent Spiner plays another Soong Ancestor. They've been given the Official Back to the Future Seal of Approval.
Not only is Enterprise my least favorite Star Trek series, I don't even think about it unless someone else brings it up. It's the Star Trek show I tend to forget. So I wasn't even thinking about any of this stuff until you guys brought it up. But, now that I actually am thinking about it, Terry Matalas has sure stepped up his game since the early-2000s. It's good to know that he's grown. I'm enjoying the Hell out of Season 2 and thus expect it will be a similar situation with Season 3. Is his idea of Picard different from Chabon's? Yes. But I like it just as much for different reasons.
I don't think of Worf as a DS9 Character. I think of Worf as a TNG Character that DS9 borrowed. It's the opposite of O'Brien, where I think of him as a DS9 Character who started off on TNG.
On one hand, I can get this, because Worf was on TNG for seven years, and DS9 for only four. On the other hand, DS9 did a hell of a lot more with Worf than TNG ever did.
It's reminiscent of how Marvel introduced Sam Wilson as Captain America after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
He was also the showrunner of the show 12 Monkeys, which ran for 4 seasons from 2015-2018. I'm going through it now for the first time and have just about finished the first season and I'm enjoying it. It's about time travel
