Well, we've only seen the first 10 episodes so it could take a real dive in the second half. There's still time for season 1 to suck!

You know what that means. A post-Nemesis show involving live-action characters we know from before. Cartoon Janeway and charicature Riker only entertain so far. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed LDS for the slapstick parody. It's essentially Mike McMahan taking his "TNG Season 8" twitter feed to the screen. But it's not tangible or serious in the way Picard is.

Are they though, (maybe I missed a trailer or TV spot) do we see them in SF uniform in the prime time line? Or that's just in the totalitarian alternate timeline?

The uniforms in the alternate timeline are black, it seems. Not the usual colourful TNG styles.
Or a flashback, even, to the 2380s (alternate or "prime")?
The alt-timeline doesn't use those uniforms or badges.
It has Elnor in a cadet uniform as well, so it isn’t a flashback, and the badges are the Prime Universe badges, not the alternate timeline deltas.

For me there’s no difference between a cartoon Janeway and a ‘real’ one as both are fictional anyway.
Maybe being primarily a Doctor Who fan I’m more used to experiencing stories in different media?

Exactly. It is amazing the low regard for animation.
It’s odd in a franchise that has animated pedigree going back to the early 70s for sure.
It’s also a topic for another thread I guess so I’ll leave it be now.
