I love the way in the preview material at the beginning of this week’s Ready Room how they subtly acknowledged Simon Tarses when congratulating Elnor by making the distinction that he’s the first fully Romulan graduate of the Starfleet Academy.

There’s a lot in the first segment, and the preview clip from the first episode at the end.

Edit: as @SeamusShameless pointed out, Tarses chose to enlist instead of the Academy. ‪‪I had spaced on that completely, so ‪‪I was totally wrong there.

Maybe it was in reference to Commodore Oh/Nedar, last season’s Romulo-Vulcan Tal Shiar/Zhat Vash infiltrator.

Simon Tarses was enlisted, he didn't go to the Academy.

Though he does seem to be meddling in his own way once they go back in time.

The trailer from Prime Video Australia/New Zealand "points" at Q and has dialogue that spoils a bit. It opens with Q welcoming Picard home, asking whether he likes the sky - looking up to see the hex grid protected Earth. Picard asks Q, "What have you done?", "Where are the crew of the Stargazer?", which he replies in standard Q confidence: "There *is* no Stargazer."

The next scene Picard is telling Elnor, Raffi and Seven that it is "Q" - that he went back in time and turned the world into a 'polluted and totalitarian nightmare' (showing the shot of Adam Soong's statue). [Some of this dialogue sounds edited together for trailer purposes...] Flash forward to a few scenes we have observed in other trailers; and the Borg Queen explains that a "single change in Los Angeles, 2024". A female (maybe Laris?) says: "There is someone there to help, seek the Watcher..." (during this voiceover, it's the white eye guy with hat pointing left to screen, then the scene of that creepy guy with white eyes behind Picard).

Q then says as a voiceover "I want you to remove an obstacle..." and it is the scene in the other trailers with him seated with a Brent Spiner "Soong" relative, passing him the blue vial on the word "you". Some new scenes with Rios and then shots that are in other trailers with Picard saying, "We have to find a way back!".

Q then says: "This is not a lesson... it's a *penance*!" with the John de Lancie emphasis that "penance" is a dirty word.

On the surface, it looks like Q's doing but the final trailer scenes is a bit ambiguous as a trailer should be.

Oh, of course it's Evil Picard's skull! I was wondering why Picard had it. Also I think this might be the first proof that Cardassian ridges are part of their skull.
We saw a pretty decomposed head in Empok Nor
Though he does seem to be meddling in his own way once they go back in time.
He said Q's also under some pressure to get things fixed

Or towards Saavik, who in non-canon works was half-Romulan.
