Yea I did hear that, the "Monster Maroons" - but its curious that Lower Decks, Prodigy, Picard have all finally settled into a design aesthetic - which was predated by Endgame in Voyager, and the other "alt future" designs from Berman's Era.The showrunner did say he was inspired by the WOK uniform.
Chancellor of Starfleet Academy. So Picard has an official Starfleet insignia on his gray jacket. I wonder what his role in Starfleet is going to be. Forgive me if those details have already been revealed. I haven't been keeping up on season 2 news.

It's cool the first show is called Stargazer.
"Because Starfleet isn't military."Current military commands have "uniforms of the day" that can be ordered by the CO based upon regulations. Why would Starfleet be different?
Well, it was nice while it lasted."Because Starfleet isn't military."
Yeah, I know I just took a shit all over this thread.
I don't think it's the lighting. It's too perfect.

I wonder if this was maybe an early version that they didn't like and replaced, and those shots accidentally made it into the press kit?
That would also explain why her hair is longer in the shots of the uniform without the trim.
The Asymmetry is like a copy paste of the TNG uniform

The patterning on the uniform is the obvious place to add detail for HD and 4k filming, without losing the flat plain colour aesthetic that is a staple of the series
Is it just me, or is the patterning on the shoulders just a fabric pattern this time rather than deltas? I hope this is the case as not a fan of all the deltas. But either way, I like these a lot. Wish the comm badge had a gold backing rather than the black on the black uniform. AGT future comm badges have been a favourite of mine for years.
Uniforms are meant as a functional attire and they utilize them as such. These are not huge changes, but minor variations to day to day workwear. Current military commands have "uniforms of the day" that can be ordered by the CO based upon regulations. Why would Starfleet be different?
I don't think the "Uniform of the Day" means what you think it means. The "uniform of the day," when referred to in a military sense, is the designated uniform all military personnel are required to wear on that particular day. It is often designated by the senior officer on the base. Normally the uniform is determined by the seasons (e.g. winter blues or summer whites for Navy) however, special occasions (e.g. visiting dignitaries) or weather changes may dictate changes to the uniform of the day. The uniform of the day instruction is broadcast over the 1MC at reveille on board U.S. Navy ships
