Spoilers Season 2 Preview Images and Videos Thread

Everyone's doing something new with their hair in this episode; La'an, Pike and Chapel. Looking good though!

"Captain Pike and his landing party find themselves forgetting everything, including their own identities as he confronts a ghost from his past."

Is it too much to hope for Phil Boyce? He's the only one who was in the previous Rigel mission who hasn't been seen yet. Yeoman Colt was very much not in the Rigel mission as Cage confirmed and I think Jose Tyler is way too minor to be considered a "ghost" from Pike's past.

The other option is a literal ghost of Pike's yeoman who was said to have been killed on the first Rigel mission.

The episode description says it's the landing party that forgets who they are, but based off that image there, it looks like it also effects the Enterprise crew as well. They look lost, confused.

Kalar barbarian throws down his cloak, flexes his humongous physique, and brandishes his sword a few times.

Chapel: 'roid rage time again doc?

M'Benga: Nah (pulls out his phaser and shoots the Kalar barbarian down)

Chapel: :wtf:

M'Benga: I was watching 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' last week

Remember when being a fan was fun?
I really don't.

I blame social media. It's given a voice to every asshole who thinks they know better.

Granted, I guess that should be expected to come with the territory. But, I love thoughtful and interesting discussions on Trek. Having to sort through the bullshit seems to be the cost of admission.

That said, I guess I didn't really appreciate those days in the 80's and early 90's, when The internet was a far and away less common thing. Beyond some articles and letters in Starlog or similar rags, I didn't really have a clue what opinions others had on Trek. I was free to like what I liked and that was that.

It was right around the end of DS9 that I personally noticed the frothing at the mouth of the online community over certain things.

Then. Came. Enterprise....

Which I personally enjoyed alot, warts and all. But it was around then that I swear the fandom broke.

Now I've heard the tails of what it was like when TNG hit the waves, but I was too young to remember any of it. I was too busy bribing my parents to let me wake up at 1am and watch reruns of TOS....

But I digress....

So yeah. Social media. It's good, but it also sucks.

Typical. Pleasing fans is a fool's errand.

"Not enough familiar characters! Where's *fill in the blank.*?"

Now it's, "Geez, why do they have so many Legacy characters? So unnecessary!"

Remember when being a fan was fun? :sigh:
Late November 1986 to early October 1987?
