I wonder how many times La'an has been recruited.

Or is it all a game of Relativity Bingo:
1. Steal Janeway's tennis rackets.
2. Shave Sam Kirk's mustache.
3. Break up Spock and T'Pring.
4. Put Genesis album in Genesis Torpedo.
5. Replace Sisko's baseball with a cricket one.

Figured they'd do this.
They can't have Pike and Kirk ignore each other for the next several seasons if they are both regulars on this show.
Now, if we make these uniforms a light blue and we will have something here.
I honestly doubt they are writing episodes with that statement written in stone, or at least I hope they aren't.
It was a minor line, and you could easily patch it up with Kirk/Pike saying "we have a lot of history, and probably best to keep everything that happened between us" or something along those lines. So basically show that Kirk lied when he said what he said in TOS.

I mean, Pike here with an admiral-like badge, but not in an admiral's uniform.
Obviously just speculation, but that's what it looks like to me.
His promotion to Fleet Captain could A. be temporary and B. not change much if anything in terms of the story. If it makes sense in terms of SNW's story and stays in line with the dialogue from TOS...why not?
Exactly! To me, there really isn't anything to work around. I've always treated the, "We met when he was promoted to Fleet Captain" and "I took over the Enterprise from him...Spock served with him for several years" lines to be separate and not happening at the same time in the past.

Despite earlier spoilers revealing this episode takes place in Toronto, it seems we'll also be visiting Vermont as well, based on the pictures.
Was it explicitly said that it takes place in Toronto? Or is Toronto playing another city?
