The Antares, the Romulan Neutral Zone Outposts, DS9 uniforms and TNG uniforms (and not just in Generations), and even on VOY.To what in-universe precedent do you refer? The only one I am aware of would be the Antares crewmen in TOS.
There was a tweet from Anson Mount (Pike) stating he was experiencing unemployment:People have been posting in the comments thread under the video about the show being cancelled? I'm at work and can't do much digging. Does anybody know what the hell they are talking about?

Some took it to mean "Hey, Discovery has been canceled...
It was more likely that "Hey filming of ST:P D Season 2 has wrapped."
No decision has been made either way as yet; but honestly, I would expect at last one more Season renewal of ST: D at this point - but time will tell.
They could also give him his own show.I find it unlikely he'll be Captain in Season 3, but I wouldn't be surprised if he came back for guest appearances.

Is it that implausible that a uniform could vary from assignment to assignment?![]()
We never really saw vessels treated the way Constitution class were treated either. The "Balance of Terror" outpost guy could be a similar situation to DS9 vs. TNG.
Other than the Antares (which was specifically identified as a cargo hauler and thus possibly oart of a different command), we haven't seen fleet vessels vary in that way.
Again, I am not suggesting no explanation can be created, just that it isn't as if there's a good one just laying around handy.
The Constitution class is referred to as being "very special" and "there are only 12 like her in the fleet."In what way?
Yes, but only the Constitution got called out as having "only 12 like her.""Very special" applied to starships generally, though unfortunately the distinction between mere spaceships like Merik's SS Beagle and starships like those in Starfleet service got lost over time.
In "The Way of the Warrior", Worf is wearing his TNG style gold uniform when he comes over DS9, until the end when he's officially taken assignment and switched to a DS9 style red uniform. Likewise, Pike wore his gold uniform for most of "Brother" before we saw him switch to his DIS style uniform. In fact, when Sisko took temporary assignment on Earth he switched from his DS9 style uniform to his old TNG style uniform he hadn't worn since "Emissary". While we've seen crew like those on the USS Lakota wear TNG style uniforms, we'd see the crew of the Equinox and Voyager wear DS9 style uniforms.
So what DISCOVERY is depicting isn't all that different from how past shows handled uniforms.

Oh please the behind the scenes drama of S1 was way worse (Hell, Smallcock and his cronies were claiming ST: D S1 was viewed as "so bad" CBSAA cancelled it - was rushing the "Kahn miniseries" into production; and ST: D would never be shown/streamed to the Public <--- Remind me again...how much of all that came to pass?More likely, S3 will get a significantly reduced budget. Especially likely after the excessive spending on S2 and the behind the scenes drama.
No, but Discovery did it so it is bad and requires an in depth explanation. So what DISCOVERY is depicting isn't all that different from how past shows handled uniforms.
If season 2 didn't get reduced, Season 3 won't.More likely, S3 will get a significantly reduced budget. Especially likely after the excessive spending on S2 and the behind the scenes drama.
True, my bad.No, but Discovery did it so it is bad and requires an in depth explanation.
