Yep. Also Sontarans and Daleks returning too. (Sonts with new costumes possibly in the same episode(s) with Weeping Angels, Daleks in AIUI the finale.)

Wow, that's a beautiful painting! Following in the vein of Van Gogh's "Exploding TARDIS" (which I have as one of my favorite bookmarks). I hope it's featured in the season itself.

Depends how many BBC things they're celebrating on the day and the days around it. My instinct says the 16th, as that's the Sunday (18th is a Tuesday)
The speculation begins now: The Ten (or Eleven) Doctors will be the special's title!
I'm pretty certain the Fall 22 special will be Whittaker's finale. Especially now that we know it's meant to tie in with BBC's centennial. What better way to have such a celebration with a Doctor Who regeneration episode and the introduction of a new Doctor? Hell, add Daleks into the plot, and we've got the ingredients for an epic birthday party for the BBC.
