I couldn't resist. I watched one damn episode of Lost, the first ep, when it first aired years ago. I was interested then, but I never kept up with it for whatever arbitrary reasons. I keep reading how good it is, and I'm such a sucker for a long drawn out story that I've had to take the plunge.

I wanted it before Xmas but I'm glad I've ordered it now. What have I let myself in for? Somehow I've stayed away from spoilers, so will I get suckered in and punched in the gut?

Yes, stay away, it's for your own good. This is not the kind of show you want to be spoiled on, and if you hang out around here you WILL be spoiled. The show goes through many changes so that it is impossible to talk about even past seasons without including information about the current ones.
