Scream 4: Did anyone actually enjoy it?

first, i want to point out i'm not a horror fan by any stretch, but i did enjoy Scream 1 because of the story twists and especially the twist at the end where we're shown billy was the killer.

anyway, the fourth movie just seemed identical to the first. the lines were almost identical except they changed the characters around slightly. did anyone else feel the same?

why couldn't they change it up a bit more instead of it being the same old and tired story? we saw them do this with T1 and T2. why not have it set in the 1800's, or even in the future?

well my idea had the movie being made as a prequel. so it would be the movie that begins the 'rules'.

I can't believe that I'm actually responding to this thread but ReadyandWilling did you get the movie? It was making fun of it's self, the franchise, and the genre in general. The "Scream" films all follow the same formula on purpose. As for robots Emma Roberts performance could be described as "robotic"

So, Opening Scene: Mrs. Pres. Lincoln (Let's call her Mary or something, no one will know the difference, it was like 50 years ago or something, who can remember that far back).

Anyways, Mary or Liza (whatever gets written in the script) goes to the Public Library (Nevermind why she doesn't go to the Library in the White House, we're moving at the speed of plot here) to get a book

As she pulls out a book, she hears a gravelly Batman (Nolan Version) voice from the other side of the shelf "What's your favorite Scary Book"...

For Commercial success Of course Robots (And Tits) can be inserted where the Narrative calls for them.
