Scifi with aggressive sexuality

In a case that was CLEARLY A RAPE. And the statements were made to obtain a lighter sentence.
But I said that what the sailor did WAS WRONG AS A RAPE. And he deserve THE SAME SENTENCE.

But you are still COMPARING ME TO A RAPE APOLOGIST.
I didn't compare you to a rape apologist.

Actually in that case it wasn't clearly rape. I mean in the terms you're arguing. He wasn't charged with rape because (as far as I can gather) he didn't penetrate her with his penis. It was sexual assault including penetration with a foreign body.

Is that distinction really meant to be helpful here, or to someone who has been raped? 'You weren't raped, it was a broomstick!'
Really?

You are just saying that I was saying the same thing.

That's not a comparison. No sir. You put me in the same context, implying that what I said was similar to what he said that human shit but it isn't a comparison.

Sorry, my mistake.

The California law is clearly wrong in that regard and they are trying to amend it. Under Italian or German law, for example, it was clearly a rape.

Yes, it is, here not in relation to someone who was raped.
Here because @Zaku is arguing a legal definition of rape, while clearly seeing the other case are rape. Pointing out that in the other case it wasn't the legal definition of rape I was hoping to point out the logical flaw in the argument.

What I posted were comments by people who felt there was a difference between various types of rape, that some were worse than others. You decided to put yourself in that comparison. I did not put you there.

But that's my point. You're arguing from a legalistic definition. While clearly accepting that another legal definition is wrong.

Now are you arguing semantic??? You put those comments to make a comparison.
Dictionary:
Comparison:
the act of looking at things to see how they are similar or different

More than just a logical flaw, but such hair splitting is the very essence of rape culture. It's ugly, very ugly.

Why are you making this about you? I posted those statements so you could see what other people were saying when they split the definition of rape into razor thin margins. You were the one who made the comparisons against yourself.

And I think pointing out that even he thinks rape is rape despite the fact the law says differently in another case is a better way to point it out than arguing semantics back and forth.

You. Put. Those. Statements. You. Made. The. Comparison. Because. You. Choose. The. Statememts.

I gave no semantic arguments. Rape is rape. All of it is horrendous. All of it is a violation of a human being's rights.

Arguing semantics is saying it wasn't rape, it was just sexual assault. Might as well comfort the person with 'be happy the bottle didn't break during the assault.'

I stated that rape was rape, and all of it horrendous. I also said that any sexual violation of a person's body without their consent is rape.
Then, as an example, I held up text showing the statements people make when they split hairs when it comes to defining rape as being a lesser or greater act depending upon the severity of the act itself. It wasn't about you, but what rape culture creates, and the dangers of what happens if you go too far into the minutiae.

And where I said that what the sailor did was different, when I have repeated ad nauseam that what he had done was wrong as a rape?

Because you then chose to break that rape down into what was rape, and what wasn't really really rape. It was rape. You wanted to wiggle the definition because you didn't felt it had quite reached that level. You preferred the term "sextortion," remember?
