I have two boxer's one named Odo and the other named Quark. A Jack Russel terrier named Jadzia. A black lab named Skywalker A black pug/boxer mix named Vader A King Charles Spaniel named Phoenix, or Marvel Girl, or the White Phoenix of the Crown. And my kitty should be coming home soon and her name is Storm.
Our Samoyed Nikki's full name is "SnoDawn's La Chienne Nikita", which (don't tell my wife) is a play on La Femme Nikita, 'cause I was a fan of the Peta Wilson TV series.
My five-year-old wants a dog. I'm trying to talk him into a beagle. I'm sure you all know what name I'll insist on if I let such a varmint into my house.
Tribble! I'd fogotten. YEARS ago we had a very furry guinea pig that I named "Christabelle Pig Tribble." Christabelle was Linda Blaire's character in Sweet Hostage. The guinea pig reminded me of her for some reason . Tribble, of course, was a given, considering how how much the dern thing actually looked like one!
My family's dog is named Thor, after the little grey alien. I'm living in a place right now that doesn't allow pets but if I could get a dog, his name would be Jack, as in Jack O'Neill.
this is an old thread but i'm getting a kitten today, and later a dog and wanting to have star trek names.. it's been fun reading the thread! any new ideas out there?
Well, I did get finally a cat a few years ago, but she was an older cat who came named (Jasmine) so I didn't have the privilege. Although only now it occurs to me we could've tweaked that name to Jadzia. Oh, and as a commentary to the departed OP's username, my wife's cat in the 1980s was named after Robert Scorpio.
I don't have pets. But if I did I will avoid scifi names, and use more normal names like "spot" for the cat and "Porthos" for the dog.
