Scifi pet names???

Our cat Natasha was named by her original owners after Natasha Fatale (along with siblings Boris, Rocky, Bullwinkle, Larry, Moe, Curly, and Pizzaface), but I kept the name due to its resonance with Natasha Yar, and called her Tasha for short. (Her brother, whom we also adopted, was renamed Shadow. I don't know which name he had originally, but he would've made a superb Boris.)

When my wife and I were first married we adopted an orange cat with darker orange stripes.

She and I named him "Jones". After the only male survivor of the Nostromo. Our current cat "DJ" is a merging of two names her very first cat as a child "Dusty" and well our dearly departed Jones, so the legacy lives on.

It was a few months before she learned my inspiration for the name. She merely rolled her eyes but the name stuck :)

I wanted to name my son, yeah not a pet...but I wanted to name Robert TIBERIOUS (last name)...but got out vetoed by my wife and everyone else in my family...
At least you should have checked the spelling... It's a name, not an adjective. :p

I have a cat named T'Pol.
I tried for years to christen my cat T'Pring (she was a cold heartless fiend), but the name never struck (and my family couldn't pronounce it anyway). In the end, she was just called Pussy. :alienblush:

My current cat (and I, actually) are named Jinx, after a felinoid alien in the ST novel "Uhura's Song."

A cat I had many years ago was named Gremlin.

Cats:

1. The Matrix - because as a kitten he'd do those slo-mo jumps in the air.
2. Gizmo - as a kitten he looked like the gremlin.
3. Darkstar - after the movie.
4. Kira - after the Major.

Okay..I'm game..what is Sharlto???

Sharlto Copley is the South African producer who made his feature-film acting debut as Wikus van der Merwe, the lead character in last year's District 9, to great critical and audience acclaim. He's also playing H. M. "Howling Mad" Murdock in the upcoming feature film adaptation of The A-Team.

I have two dogs, boxers, named Jango and Boba. and i had a cat a long time ago named Loki, after Thor's bro from marvel comics.

one of our cats is named Pippin. From LOTR. The others are Bob, Midge, Marmalade and Tigger. No SF/F connections. We also have two birds named Ren and Stimpy.

I had a green iguana named Loki. She escaped and was sighted several times over the next few weeks before ultimately disappearing forever. She had a sweet disposition as iguanas go.

Then there's my red-spotted newt, Worf. He's easily over twelve years old and frolics like a puppy whenever I bring food over.

Got a white Kitty... my wife loves her white kitty....
the white kitty's name is scabbers... I know, I know....
my wife also said... no rats....
