Scenes you feel NEED to be in this film...

Dammit, if this movie doesn't show the guy who created, and the initiation of the Captain's Logs, I will go ABSOLUTELY apeshit. I will jump up in a rage at the cinemaplex and throw my popcorn at the screen, and quite possibly my Diet Coke (if I haven't already drank it all. If I have, I'll probably just throw my cup of ice). This scene is absolutely pivotal for the whole of the Star Trek universe and I would hate to have to piss in the floor of the theater because they didn't put this scene in the movie

The Enterprise's first mission is the wipe out all the descendants of everyone who used the internet in the 21st century to bitch and moan about Star Trek.

I want to see Finnegan picking on Kirk. "You're such a little plebe Jimmy my boy"

Have Kirk shown as a little wuss, then man up my the end of the academy and starting his Starfleet career.

a scene where the 1701 leaves space-dock watched by a huge crowd of alien officers and humans, including at least one woman captain and an alien captain.

and as it clears space-dock, it flies past several other non-Constitution clas starships...

The 'series bible' isn't canon and is no more or less official than anything else. Anything from it that didn't make it on screen is little more significant than an old cocktail napkin scribble. Anything not on screen specifically is completely open to whatever new writers want to fill in. Even stuff on screen, if there is *any* possible second way of interpreting it, is open to that new interpretation.

That would be true of any standard Trek production. In this case, however, I expect that, although they say they'll be respecting canon, they probably mean the major points. We already know it's a revisioning of sorts because the Enterprise looks different. This is not merely a prequel in the same exact canon. So, basically any of these little details are up for grabs in this version of Trek. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the details discussed here is never even mentioned or seen in the film.

In fact, I think it would be nice to see an original plot idea for once in 25 years.

I want a scene with Kirk walking in a crowd and someone bumps into him as they pass by each other, and they turn and look at each other to say excuse me and the guy is Crewman Daniels, with a shit eating grin on his face as he turns away (kind of RockStar moment, like Daniels is on 'vacation' in the 23rd century). Ha.
