so, i was thinking about this earlier.

the riley storyline turned out to be all but worthless. making cameron is girlfriend would have made the story more interesting and given the show a unique twist. this way, the show could have been renewed for a 3rd season.

To respond seriously to this question--I think it was much more interesting to have a sexual tension between them than to literalize that. The scene in season two where John has to perform some complex operation on a near-naked Cameron was haunting.

I also have a question, which in no way I mean to be prurient: *can* Terminators have sex?

If you mean, do they have penises and vagina, who knows? Maybe, they're like Ken and Barbie in that respect. I would guess that T-1000 can easily simulate genitalia and all that goes (or comes) with them. But, if you mean, "can they procreate?", I think the answer must be no, unless they have access to advanced machine tools, chip fabricators, and cell-cloning vats to build all their bits including the organic ones.

Well, the T-800s obviously have penises, given that no one panics or is disgusted when naked Arnies walk around... maybe the wang is a laser-weapon?

That said, I see no reason to suspect that Cameron would have any entry port, far less squishy parts.

But seriously, I found any John-Cameron sexual dynamic more disturbing in the sense of "Wow you're stupid, John...and also, this is vaguely gross..." than anything else.

Kind of like Bashir hitting up Sarina, Saavik having sex with her mentor Spock, etc...
